Mike Santana def. KC NavarroNavarro is an absolute star and I'm so glad he's had the chance to shine since signing with TNA. He and A.J. Francis have gelled really well as a team so far, but it's odd that he'd lose a random match to Santana after he and Francis beat The Rascalz two weeks ago. Nonetheless, this was a very enjoyable outing to start the show. Santana keeps building momentum and getting over with the audience, which is encouraging to see. The Rascalz def. Alan Angels and Jake CristThe Rascalz lost to First Class two weeks ago yet won here. In other words, they continue to be directionless, but an occasional win doesn't hurt. I wouldn't mind seeing them challenge The Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team Championship eventually. Angels and Crist have never teamed in TNA to my knowledge until now, but perhaps they'll become a regular tandem after this. This was a fun little sprint while it lasted. The Northern Armory (Josh Alexander, Judas Icarus and Travis Williams) def. Steve Maclin, Eric Young and Jonathan GreshamThe babyfaces were able to get a measure of revenge over Alexander when they beat him and The Good Hands a few weeks ago, but that was only because Icarus and Williams weren't able to appear. Thus, it was logical for Alexander to avenge the loss here. Interestingly, Alexander pinned Maclin, so it looks like they're telling the story that Maclin can't beat Alexander. This was a well-wrestled six-man tag team affair to further the feud. Joe Hendry def. Ryan NemethI realize he teamed with his brother Nic earlier this year as well as Matt Hardy for a time (if I remember correctly), but Nemeth has never been a threat to anyone on his own. It's impossible to take the guy seriously, so I had zero issue with Hendry putting him away quickly and decisively here. Hendry will be competing in the 2024 Turkey Bowl at Turning Point, for whatever that's worth. Rosemary def. Jada StoneRosemary is fresh off betraying and beating Wendy Choo, so here's hoping she gets a renewed singles push. It's been a long time she was positioned as a true threat to the TNA Knockouts World Championship, so if she can continue to rack up wins, she can be a believable challenger for current champ Masha Slamovich in the future. This was the straightforward squash that it should have been for Rosemary. Alisha Edwards, TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich and Jordynne Grace Interrupted Each OtherAlisha ranting to the crowd lasted a little long, but I did like how she brought up her team with Slamovich from the summer to set up a match between the two. Slamovich threw out the championship challenge for next week and made it No Disqualification. Grace said she'll face the winner at Turning Point, so obviously, Slamovich is retaining. This accomplished what it needed to. TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth def. Brian Myers (Non-Title)Unless the commentators acknowledged it, I had totally forgotten about how Nemeth beat Myers in under five seconds eight years ago this month on WWE SmackDown. That was Myers' first bout back in the company and he didn't end up winning a match until April 2019, so I liked how they played off of that here in the opening moments. It was a solid main event before Nemeth defends against Eddie Edwards at Turning Point. Overall ShowiMPACT! has been a perfectly fine show since Bound for Glory, but Turning Point is in two weeks and we barely know what the card is going to consist of. There are a handful of storylines going on at the moment, but there are some matches on these shows that don't seem to serve much a purpose. TNA is clearly still in the process of reshuffling the deck, but the episodes are entertaining enough to where they don't feel inconsequential.
