Mike Santana Addressed the AudienceThis was a very different promo than the one Santana cut to start last week's iMPACT! when he was still TNA World Champion. Between his intense delivery and even just his approach by sitting down, I loved how this showed how losing the title deeply affected him. He made it clear he's coming back after the belt while also putting the invading NXT stars on notice. Dani Luna def. Indi Hartwell, Rosemary and Myla Grace in a Four-Way Match to Advance to the TNA Knockouts World Championship No. 1 Contender's MatchI thought the great No Disqualifications match Luna and Hartwell had at Turning Point ended their rivalry, but apparently not. Honestly, they work well enough together that I'm not complaining. Plus, Luna advancing to the Knockouts World title match at Final Resolution is pretty cool and well deserved (even though she's probably in there to eat the loss). This was a well-worked four-way and I have no issue with Hartwell having another obstacle to overcome before she gets back to championship contention. Mance Warner def. Matt CardonaThis was always a logical feud to do at some point given Steph De Lander's history with Cardona. It started in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal at Bound for Glory and Warner beating Cardona was the next step to set up their Street Fight rematch at Final Resolution. This was a quality contest while it lasted and I expect them to go all out in that Street Fight knowing what they're capable of in extreme environments. John Skyler def. Myron ReedSkyler and Reed aren't exactly the most important members of their respective factions, but both guys are talented and thus they had a nice match here in the time they were allotted. Jason Hotch aiding Skyler to victory protected Reed in defeat and planted the seeds for a possible eight-man tag team match pitting Order 4 against the reunited Rascalz in the future. Xia Brookside def. Killer Kelly, Jody Threat and Victoria Crawford in a Four-Way Match to Advance to the TNA Knockouts World Championship No. 1 Contender's MatchMan, Killer has done a whole lot of nothing since returning to TNA earlier this year. I always forget she's still on the roster until she pops up occasionally. All of that to say, I was not shocked she was who Brookside pinned to win. This was the weaker of the two four-ways, but it was still fine for the time given. Brookside was the best choice of everyone involved to advance to Final Resolution. JDC def. Eric Young to Earn an Opportunity at the TNA World Championship at Final ResolutionThis wasn't necessarily a number one contender's match, as I don't think Young would've earned an opportunity at the TNA World title had he won. As Frankie Kazarian said backstage earlier in the episode, JDC has done nothing to challenge for the world title (he was pinned at Turning Point!), but at least they attempted to explain that he'd earn the opportunity with a win over Young here. This wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was what needed to be. Overall ShowTNA's taping schedule continues to be terrible. They only had a night to build the card for Turning Point, and now they only have two shows to build toward Final Resolution because I don't think they're airing any original content on Thanksgiving next Thursday (which is the right call). Despite that, they announced multiple matches for the event that make sense. This was a better show than last week with some meaningful matches, even though it peaked with Santana's promo at the start.
