Mike Santana Interrupted TNA World Champion Trick WilliamsWe've pretty much heard it all from these two since they first faced off back in May, so there wasn't a ton of new ground for them to cover here, but it was an effective final verbal exchange from them nonetheless with both guys playing their respective roles well. The crowd was really behind Santana, so needless to say, him taking the title at Bound for Glory is an absolute must. Matt Cardona def. Ryan NemethI haven't cared about Cardona's feud with The Nemeths over the last month in the slightest, but I suppose it's been one way to keep them busy heading into the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal. As a match, there was nothing wrong with this, but it was hardly anything worth writing home about. Cardona winning was obviously the right call. That's about the best thing I can say about it. Mustafa Ali def. JDCAli already beat Moose in what was also a preview of Hardcore War at Victory Road, so there was zero chance he was losing to JDC here. Despite that, they had a nice match that was slightly more competitive than I thought it would be. The chaos that ensued toward the end was a small taste of what Hardcore War will consist of come Bound for Glory. TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell Signed the Contract for Their TNA Knockouts World Championship Match at Bound for GloryFor a match with little to no heat because it came together on such short notice, these two did what they could to make it meaningful. Their mic work was average at best and it was an extremely straightforward contract signing, but they were somewhat limited with both of them being babyfaces and their only other interaction being in last week's six-person tag team matchup. I appreciated the passion for Hartwell and I hope she wins the championship on Sunday. Eric Young def. Joe Hendry in a No Disqualifications MatchI'm very surprised this didn't make Bound for Glory. I guess they feel they have a full lineup, but it's odd Hendry wouldn't be involved in something more important than the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal. Regardless, it was a good brawl. If Hendry is indeed on his way out of TNA and headed for WWE/NXT full-time, then Young avenging his loss to him made sense. Overall ShowThe show actually closed with a video package for Santana and it was really well done, as was the extended profile package for The Hardys vs. Team 3D. That stuff was easily the best part of this show. Everything else was standard fare and didn't get me more excited for Bound for Glory than I already was, but the card on paper has promise and I'm looking forward to being in attendance (my first-ever live TNA pay-per-view, shockingly enough).
