Moose def. A.J. FrancisFrancis has actually been pretty damn impressive on his own since coming to TNA early last year and this was another solid showing from him. He and Moose had a quality contest to start the show and Moose winning was the right call. Moose challenged Mustafa Ali to a match at Victory Road, so it looks like they're saving The System vs. Order 4 for Bound for Glory. Joe Hendry def. Travis WilliamsHendry was advertised as facing Eric Young on this show, but they did a bait-and-switch at the last minute with Williams replacing Young. Hendry vs. Young always made more sense for Victory Road, so they should've just confirmed that it'd be happening there to begin with instead of trying to put more heat on Young (which they did afterward anyway with him attacking both Williams and Judas Icarus). Hendry vs. Williams was brief and inoffensive. Victoria Crawford Interviewed Gia MillerMan, and I thought First Class Penthouse wasn't a great talk show. This was way worse. To her credit, Miller didn't do a poor job at all. It was more so Crawford's performance that sucked. Maybe she'll find her footing in the role eventually, but I'd honestly pull the plug after the first failed installment. The crowd was quiet for this entire segment, including when Jody Threat came out to attempt to smooth things over between the two. Myron Reed def. Jake Something, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel in a TNA X-Division Championship No. 1 Contender's Four-Way MatchIt was every man for himself with The Rascalz, but it wasn't as if they teased tension at any point. That said, I thought it was interesting that Wentz prevented Miguel from breaking up Reed's pinfall at the end. I guess Wentz wanted Reed to get the next shot at the X-Division title, but how is that going to sit with Miguel? It was a fun four-way, and although I wasn't high on Something eating the loss, it seems to be part of a story they're telling with him and Frankie Kazarian based on their post-match backstage segment. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Heather by Elegance def. Jessie McKayThis was the basic bout I expected from them. It was only three minutes long, so it's not like they had much time to do anything out of the ordinary, but considering McKay has never been the most amazing or dynamic in-ring wrestler, it was probably for the best to keep it on the shorter side. I was surprised to see Heather win, but her cheating was what set up Lee vs. M immediately afterward. Cassie Lee def. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion M by EleganceI understand the idea was to catch The Elegance Brand off guard by putting M into an immediate match with Lee, but I think they would've been better off on waiting until next week to do it. I'm not saying it was this highly-anticipated outing that should've been advertised in advance, but how else do they expect to kill time between now and Victory Road (where they'll be doing the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship rematch)? TNA World Champion Trick Williams and Mike Santana BrawledSantana was walking through the crowd on his way to the ring for a match (I don't believe it was ever said who he was supposed to face) when Williams attacked him from behind. It turned into more of a brawl than a straight-up attack, but I still thought it was a fine way to further the feud between the two without doing too much. Hopefully we get at least one or two more verbal exchanges from them before Bound for Glory next month. The Nemeths def. The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers)While I wouldn't say this was necessarily main event material, it was still a well-worked main event between four guys that have been doing this wrestling thing a while. The Nemeths winning with Order 4 costing The System the victory was logical, especially with The Nemeths announcing afterward that they're invoking their rematch clause for the TNA World Tag Team Championship on next week's iMPACT!. Overall ShowThis was a slight step below your usual edition of iMPACT!, as the stuff with The IInspiration and The Elegance Brand as well as Crawford's lame "podcast" was not very good. The rest of the show was acceptable and featured hype for Victory Road and Bound for Glory. At least everything served a purpose, even if not all of the current storylines are exactly piquing my interest at the moment.
