Pre-Show: The System Addressed the AudienceWe heard from several stars over the course of the pre-show, but this was the only talking segment that was somewhat notable. The System addressed their various matches on the show and also announced that they'd be kicking off the main card with Cedric Alexander fighting Leon Slater for the TNA X-Division Championship. Obviously, this wasn't worth seeking out from the pre-show, but it was more effective than anything said on the pre-show panel. Pre-Show: Ryan Nemeth def. B.D.E.Okay, let me get this straight. Nic Nemeth is a babyface now because A.J. Francis attacked him, but Ryan isn't, so he was a heel here in his hometown. Plus, he faced BDE in a rematch from the Sacrifice and beat him for a second straight time. That is LOLTNA booking at its finest (worst?). Seriously, all of this was stupid, and the match was unspectacular. If BDE had any momentum coming into TNA, he's completely lost it at this point. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater def. Cedric AlexanderThis was a great choice to serve as the opener for the pay-per-view. I know they already faced each other for the TNA X-Division Championship back in August, but this was better because Alexander has firmly been established as a heel. They had terrific chemistry and produced a super fun match. Honestly, I would've switched the title here, but I have no issue with Slater's reign continuing. Frankie Kazarian def. ElijahThis midcard feud won't move mountains or anything, but it's a perfectly fine use of both guys for the foreseeable future. I thought they had a good match here and Kazarian winning by cheating was logical. Kazarian almost had to win after recently losing to The Home Town Man on iMPACT!. Per TNA's usual booking, expect a rematch with some sort of a stipulation and Elijah avenging the loss. Special Agent 0 def. MooseI thought Moose and Eddie Edwards would finish their feud on this show, but in retrospect, they made the choice by putting that program on hold for now by having Edwards challenge for the TNA World Championship and having Moose shift his focus to Agent 0 for the time being. This was also a much better bout and Agent 0 was impressive. I liked that Agent 0 went over and Moose had an out for losing by caring for Alisha Edwards at ringside. The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance and TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Heather and M by Elegance) def. ODB, Taryn Terrerll and Mickie James in a Hardcore Country Match; ODB Was Announced as a TNA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 InducteeThis whole storyline hasn't been my cup of tea at all, so I suppose it's only fitting that this match didn't interest me in the slightest. I thought this was mostly a mess, but I might be in the minority because the crowd was clearly into it. Elegance Brand going over made sense if they want to build to James vs. Ash one-on-one eventually. The post-match announcement of ODB going into the TNA Hall of Fame later this year was a nice moment. Nic Nemeth def. A.J. FrancisI know this event emanated from Cleveland, but I don't think it was worth turning Nemeth back babyface face. Plus, we've already seen this match before, so it's not like it was fresh, nor did it do anything Francis since he lost. It was an adequate outing yet hardly pay-per-view worthy. I was happy to see KC Navarro return after a long layoff due to injury and get revenge on Francis. TNA Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace def. Lei Ying LeeGrace is competent in the ring, but she's not at a level where she can carry an entire division. These title defenses she's having are average at best. The quicker they can get the belt off of her, the better. I didn't think that person should have been Lee and I'm glad it wasn't. The match was decent. Xia Brookside betraying Lee and costing her the title was... a choice. I don't know that she can do well in the heel role, but I'll give it a chance. EC3 Attacked Eric YoungI have no idea why TNA spoiled EC3's return to the company on social media beforehand. I understand they wanted to sell some extra tickets and pay-per-view buys, but this would've been a bigger moment had it been kept a surprise in my opinion. Nonetheless, this was still cool. EC3 vs. Young feels like a feud straight out of 2014, but at least they're getting it out of the way with a match on Thursday's iMPACT!. Mustafa Ali def. Trey Miguel to Win the TNA International ChampionshipThis feud has been one of the best things going in TNA for some time now and this was one of my favorite matches on the entire show. As you'd expect, they worked really well together and had strong chemistry. Miguel didn't hold the International title for very long, but putting the belt on him was the correct call. Needless to say, I'd have no issue with this continuing. The System (Bear Bronson and Brian Myers) def. The Hardys to Win the TNA World Tag Team ChampionshipWell, this was rather random. I get wanting to heat up The System, but Bronson probably should have been showcased on his own. Plus, we've already seen The Hardys work with The System (even if it was the previous version of the group), so this doesn't do much for me as the feud over the tag titles. There was nothing wrong with the match, but I would've rather seen The Righteous take the titles from The Hardys instead of The System. TNA World Champion Mike Santana def. Eddie EdwardsWas that the lead of singer of Downstait who sang Edwards down to the ring? It reminded me of Cody Rhodes' live entrance from AEW Revolution 2020, and I don't mean that as a compliment. The match itself was enjoyable. The reveal of Alisha Edwards actually aligned with The System was so damn predictable, and it didn't even really make much sense since it's not like it led to Eddie winning the title here. This didn't feel like a major main event whatsoever, but from an in-ring standpoint, they delivered to the best of their ability given the circumstances. Overall ShowAs I said coming in, the build had to be rushed with Sacrifice only being two weeks ago. As a result, this didn't feel like a special show by any means, but I thought it ended up being an entertaining event. There were a few title changes, EC3's return and some story developments. TNA's in a solid spot at the moment, but I maintain that they need that little extra something to make the weekly show on AMC more must-see.
