Pre-Show: Ryan Nemeth def. B.D.E.B.D.E. losing to Mustafa Ali on this past Thursday's iMPACT! made sense considering how high up on the totem pole Ali is, but Ryan Nemeth of all people? Yeah, that was a dumb call. Nemeth plays his role well as undercard fodder, but B.D.E. losing to him this early into his run makes him look like an even bigger loser than Nemeth is. The match itself was fine, but I wasn't a fan of that outcome. B.D.E. is quickly losing any momentum he came into the company with. Pre-Show: Tessa Blanchard def. Jody ThreatIt's been apparent for weeks that Threat was going to be a stepping stone for Blanchard and that was proven here with Blanchard beating Threat, albeit with an assist from Mila Moore and Victoria Crawford at ringside. The match was okay, but it didn't need to be more than what it was. I'd say maybe the TNA Knockouts World Championship is next for Blanchard, but it'd be odd for her to challenge Arianna Grace with both of them being heels. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater def. Eric YoungIt was wise to position this as the opener because it kicked the night off on a high note. Young's character these days isn't all that interesting in my opinion, but the guy can clearly still go in the ring and that was evident in this outing. Young winning absolutely would have been the wrong outcome, so I'm glad Slater retained the title. He can also now lay claim to having beat another former TNA World Champion. Frankie Kazarian and A.J. Francis def. The Home Town Man and ElijahI figured we would get the separate singles matches with these four on this show, but I guess they're saving those for Rebellion. They've all been intertwined for weeks, so doing a tag team match instead wasn't completely random. Granted, this could've happened on any ordinary edition of iMPACT!, but the action was adequate and Kazarian pinning Home Town Man for the victory was the correct result. Ricky Sosa Signed His TNA ContractTommy Dreamer and Carlos Silva were on the stage when Chris Bey introduced Sosa and announced him as the newest member of the TNA roster. Sosa had only one televised match a few weeks ago on iMPACT! and was impressive. He's a smart signing for the company as he has potential and is already over with the audience. TNA needs more homegrown talent they can build around for the future. TNA Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace def. Dani Luna and Lei Ying Lee in a Three-Way MatchThe TNA Knockouts World Championship picture feels completely cold. I still don't get why Grace has the title because although she's a great character, Luna would be a far better choice in that role right now. Instead, she ate the pinfall loss here. Ugh. This was a well-worked three-way, but it felt like it lacked a sense of urgency. I just want a feud over the title I can get invested in, which we haven't had in ages. Order 4 (Mustafa Ali and Tasha Steelz) def. Jada Stone and TNA International Champion Trey MiguelThis was another instance where coming into the event, I would've preferred to see Miguel defend his TNA International Championship against Ali, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised by how fun this was. Then again, I probably shouldn't have been based on how much of a standout Stone has been so far. She shined here while on offense and I dug the story they told at the end with Ali inflicting punishment on her while Miguel was forced to watch. It was an effective way of putting heat on Order 4 and building toward Miguel vs. Ali one-on-one. Moose def. Eddie Edwards by DisqualificationMoose ran through every member of The System in the weeks preceding this show, so I would've been shocked if Moose had just beaten Edwards straight-up in this match and moved on. Well, we barely even got the match as Special Agent Zero attacked Moose almost immediately and caused the contest to be thrown out. The System and Order 4 now have some sort of an agreement, so that could keep Moose busy for a bit before getting back to Edwards. Mara Sade def. Cora Jade in a No Disqualification MatchThis was an improvement over their previous encounter. That match wasn't bad, but this benefited from the No Disqualification stipulation. Of course, I've seen far more brutal hardcore matches in this promotion alone, but it was pretty much what it needed to be and gave Sade another notable victory. Sade's TNA run has exceeded expectations so far, whereas Black already feels like just another wrestler on the roster. The System (Cedric Alexander and Brian Myers) def. TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy and VincentJeff teamed with Vincent because Matt was taken out backstage on Thursday's iMPACT!. Predictably, it turned out to be The Righteous who attacked Matt, as we found out at the end of this match. I don't know why Vincent would team with Jeff in the first place, but I didn't mind the match, not to mention this would have to earn The System a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship since they pinned Jeff. Mickie James, ODB and Taryn Terrell Attacked The Elegance BrandElegance Brand does nothing for me at this point, but we're obviously headed toward something with them and Knockouts legends, so whatever. We knew they were beefing with James and ODB, but Taryn Terrell?! That's a name I haven't heard in some time. She actually had a hell of a run in TNA years ago, so it was cool to see her again. I assume we get the six-woman tag team match at Rebellion, unless they want to do James vs. Ash by Elegance on that show. TNA World Champion Mike Santana vs. Steve Maclin Ended in a No ContestMan, this was unfortunate. This got off to a hot start, but Maclin got concussed off of a kick from Santana almost immediately, so the match was ruled a no contest. Edwards came out to brawl with Santana to at least give the crowd something, so I appreciated the pivot to avoid the show going off the air on a somber note. Here's hoping Maclin's okay and they can run this back sometime soon when he's cleared to compete. Overall ShowAs is usually the case, TNA loaded the show with too many matches that could easily happened on iMPACT!. It was a quality three-hour event, but less is more with this stuff. The main event getting cut short by an injury was a bummer and I don't hold that against TNA, but the rest of the show was decent at best. Sacrifice was a solid show on the whole, but it almost felt inconsequential with Rebellion coming up in two weeks.
