KC Navarro def. A.J. FrancisNavarro just returned at Rebellion over the weekend, so I was surprised they went right to this match instead of building it up a bit. That said, they had a nice match and I was happy Navarro went over, even if it was partially because Francis was distracted by Nic Nemeth at ringside. Navarro has a ton of untapped potential on his own, so I hope he can capitalize on this victory. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater and Moose Interrupted The SystemThe System took turns recapping their mixed results from at Rebellion, and it was fine. Cutting promos still isn't Cedric Alexander's strong suit (and I don't think it ever will be), but the top takeaway was that he isn't done with Slater. Speaking of Slater, he and Moose played their roles well in this segment, setting up the four-on-two Handicap match for later on in the show (per Daria Rae). Jada Stone def. Tasha SteelzI figured we'd get this match at Rebellion, but the card ended up being pretty packed, so I have no issue with it being saved for iMPACT! where it could get more time. This was an enjoyable outing with Stone once again having an impressive showing. Steelz deserves credit as well for being a seasoned, credible opponent for her to face and beat. They could've easily had Stone lose, but I'm glad she actually went over. TNA World Champion Mike Santana Accepted Rich Swann's TNA World Championship ChallengeConsidering the Santana vs. Eddie Edwards feud was fairly rushed, I thought they might do something in this segment to keep it going, but Swann coming out to challenge Santana to a title match was much better. Granted, Swann hasn't been presented as a main event player in quite some time, but Santana vs. Swann works as an attraction for next week's iMPACT!. EC3 vs. Eric Young Ended in a No ContestThe bell did ring, but the match never truly got underway due to Young attacking EC3 during his entrance and later throwing him into the ring post with a chair wrapped around his neck. The angle was well done and effectively took their new feud to the next level before they could have their first match. It's not a rivalry that overly excites me, but it's a logical use of EC3 for the time being. Allie Saved Thunder Rosa and Mara Sade form Tessa Blanchard, Victoria Crawford and Mila MooreThe Undead Realm stuff has been going on for weeks and I've honestly found the vignettes entertaining. It's the most meaningful thing Rosemary has done in ages and it's given us some cool cameos from Crazzy Steve, Father James Mitchell and Abyss/Joseph Park. It's also resulted in the return of Allie, who made her first TNA appearance in front of fans here since 2019. This went a little long, but the crowd was clearly happy to see Allie back. The System (Cedric Alexander, Eddie Edwards and TNA World Tag Team Champions Brian Myers and Bear Bronson) def. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater and Moose in a 4-on-2 Handicap MatchIt would've made The System look incompletely incompetent if they were to lose in a four-on-two scenario here, so it was smart to have them win after having the babyfaces put forth an admirable effort. This was shorter than I would've expected, but it was what it needed to be. Plus, Alexander pinning Slater should earn him another shot at the TNA X-Division Championship. Overall ShowTNA followed up on their Rebellion pay-per-view as well as they could have with a quality edition of iMPACT! that featured the return of Allie and some matches I could've seen happening at the next monthly special. Although TNA isn't making any major moves at the moment, the weekly shows are solid and simple. Sometimes that's all that's necessary, especially when these shows could be much worse.
