The System (Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander) and Order 4 (Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0) def. TNA World Champion Mike Santana, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, TNA International Champion Trey Miguel and MooseThe opening segment saw all of these men take turns interrupting each other before Santino Marella announced an impromptu eight-man tag team match. It was basic booking to further the feuds involved, but it was a damn entertaining opener that ate up a ton of television time. Edwards pinning Santana for a second time in a week built toward their championship clash at Rebellion. TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys Accepted The Righteous' Tables Match ChallengeAside from it being predictable that The Righteous were the ones behind Matt Hardy being attacked, this storyline has progressed fairly logically and the next step was announcing their next match. Adding a Tables stipulation was cool, but I didn't think they'd do it on next week's episode. Why not save it for the pay-per-view happening two days later? At any rate, this served its purpose. Tessa Blanchard def. Jody Threat in a Bunkhouse MatchAlthough this feud hasn't overly interested me, it's been a fine way to keep Blanchard busy before she moves on to something more meaningful. Thankfully, she's gotten the better of Threat pretty much every time, including here. Not only was this a good brawl between the two, it successfully made Blanchard look like a badass with the way the finish was executed. This was the most dominant she's come across in a while. A.J. Francis def. The Home Town ManI figured we'd get this at Rebellion, possibly on the pre-show, but I have no issue with them doing it on iMPACT! instead. It wasn't exactly a squash since Home Town Man scored a decent amount of offense, but considering Home Town Man beat Frankie Kazarian a few weeks ago, this approach made sense. Francis proclaimed afterward that he was the one who recently attacked Nic Nemeth backstage. Uh, so I guess The Nemeths are babyfaces again? TNA Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace def. Xia BrooksideI was all for Brookside getting a one-off shot at the TNA Knockouts World Championship even though I automatically assumed she wasn't winning. They had a quality contest in the time allotted, but I could have done without so much overbooking. I thought it was weird that this was positioned at the main event until Santana made the save for Lei Ying Lee afterward to set up the final segment. TNA World Champion Mike Santana and Eddie Edwards Exchanged WordsI'm not sure why this segment was necessary when we already saw these two interact in the opening segment and subsequent match, but I get the need to rush the rivalry a little bit with Rebellion coming up next Saturday. They had a solid exchange, but Santana clearly cut the better promo. This wasn't the most exciting ending to the episode, but it was more meaningful than the convoluted finish to the Knockouts title match. Overall ShowIn typical TNA fashion, there's a quick turnaround between Sacrifice and Rebellion, and what especially sucks about that is that Rebellion is one of their tentpole pay-per-views. They'll put together a strong card, but the build will have to be sped up. What we got on this edition of iMPACT! was serviceable with the opening tag team match being the only thing worth seeking out.
