Nic Nemeth def. TNA World Tag Team Champion Bear BronsonIt feels like Bronson has barely been protected since he signed with TNA. Sure, he's a member of the most prominently featured faction in the company and one-half of the tag champs, but he's also just another dude on the roster right now. On the bright side, he and Nemeth had a quality contest. Nemeth was outnumbered by The System but ended up getting another assist from KC Navarro. Elijah Attacked Frankie KazarianThis segment started as Kazarian mocking Elijah by impersonating him and doing a fake concert, only for Elijah to come out, attack him and challenge him to what he called a Walk with Elijah match on next week's show. I guess that's some sort of a Strap matchup, similar to how he put his own twist on the Casket stipulation when he faced Mustafa Ali. This was fine, and with any luck, that will be the payoff. Dutch def. Matt HardyFinally! Someone from The Righteous actually won something. Granted, it was a singles match with nothing at stake, but I'll take what I can get at this point. The match was decent, but this was more so about teasing that Matt might be becoming "Broken" again, which I have to assume will lead to a rematch between The Righteous and The Hardys just with The Hardys being "Broken" this time. Xia Brookside Attacked Lei Ying LeeThe acting wasn't always amazing, but all in all, I thought both Brookside and Lee had solid performances here and put forth an admirable effort. Brookside effectively explained why she betrayed Lee, although she's a natural babyface, I'm willing to give her heel turn a chance. Of course, it's always nice to have a secondary story in the Knockouts division that isn't over a championship. Elayna Black def. Katie ArquetteIt feels like Black is in the process of being built back up after losing the feud to Mara Sade. That's fine, but they're going to have something interesting for her to do so she isn't just spinning her wheels. This was a standard showcase for her. The problem is that Black hasn't done a single thing I'd consider out of the ordinary since debuting in TNA, so what they do with her next is crucial. TNA World Champion Mike Santana def. Rich SwannWhat a great match. I actually enjoyed this more than what we got in the Rebellion main event from Santana and Eddie Edwards. Granted, Swann never felt like a legitimate threat to the title, but they worked so well together that I hardly cared about the predictable outcome. They got a ton of time and I'm happy Swann got a chance to show what he could do at the main event level again. I don't know where either guy goes from here, but Slammiversary isn't for another two months, so we may not find out who Santana's next storyline will be with right away. Overall ShowThey capped off the episode on a high note with that TNA World Championship main event and devoting so much time to it. The rest of the show was serviceable stuff as TNA looks to reset some storylines following Rebellion. I doubt we'll see anything of too much significance in the coming weeks since Slammiversary isn't for a while and there aren't any events advertised before then, but this edition of iMPACT! was an example of how you can kill two hours without making it feel like filler.
