Ricky Sosa def. Brian MyersThis was yet another match pitting one of the babyfaces from the newer guard against The System. It was a quality contest as you'd expect. Myers attempted to use the TNA X-Division Championship belt to beat Sosa, but Leon Slater thwarted him. Sosa winning was obviously the right call. Speaking of the X-Division title, we found out afterward that it will be Cedric Alexander defending against Slater in a Title vs. Record match inside of a steel cage at Lockdown. If Slater wins, he'll get the belt back, but if he loses, apparently his record as one of the longest-reigning X-Division champs will be erased. Uh, I'm not sure that's even possible, but okay, I guess. Moose and Frankie Kazarian BrawledThis was billed as Moose's "Face of the Franchise's Speech", where he talked about himself briefly before Kazarian came out. This was a rather simple segment to build toward their bout at Lockdown. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but I wouldn't say it was awful, either. It just sort of existed, but to be fair, the storyline seems to sell itself, so there isn't much they can say at this point that would get me invested. Trey Miguel, Rich Swann and B.D.E. def. Order 4 (John Skyler, Mustafa Ali and Special Agent 0)We hadn't seen Miguel in TNA since he lost the TNA International Championship to Ali. Inserting him back into the Order 4 drama makes sense and having him win for his team gave him a measure of revenge. Everyone played their roles well here and it turned out to be an enjoyable outing for as long as it lasted. Ali is still getting the International title shot at Lockdown, but he wasn't pinned here, so he'll be fine. M by Elegance def. Indi Hartwell in a TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament Semifinal MatchThere has been some questionable decisions throughout this tournament, but this was easily the most appalling so far. Nothing against M, who seems to be perfectly competent from what I've seen of her work in TNA, but this tourney felt like it was tailor made for Hartwell to become the inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion. The match itself was okay, but I'm a lot less interested in the finals now. KC Navarro def. Eddie EdwardsI'm shocked how short this was. It didn't necessarily need to be a 20-minute banger or anything, but you'd think they would've been given more time considering Navarro is a rising star and Edwards is a former TNA World Champion. Hey, at least the right person won. This led to the post-match announcement of a Lethal Lockdown match at Lockdown, though Santino Marella didn't clarify who exactly it would consist of. TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth def. TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff HardyI never actually expected Hardy to walk away with the world title, but this was still a smart main event do as these are two of TNA's biggest stars at the moment and it helped hype their tag title match for Lockdown. The story was also that Nemeth had never beaten Hardy one-on-one before, so now he can finally say he did. It was an entertaining main event despite the predictable outcome. Overall ShowThe hype for Lockdown has been heating up at just the right time with the pay-per-view coming up next weekend and that's really what stood out from this episode. The main event won't go down as one of TNA's best bouts of the year, but it did feel like an attraction, and the rest of the show was solid with feuds being furthered and the TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament progressing.
