Daria Rae Interrupted Moose and TNA World Champion Mike SantanaI believe this is the first time we've heard from Moose since The System turned on him, so this was a good mission statement-type of promo to establish that he's coming for The System. It makes sense for him to forge an alliance with his former foe Santana because of his own history with the group, setting the stage nicely the night's tag team main event. Them just leaving after Rae interrupted them was weird, though. Nic Nemeth def. Rich SwannSwann just knocked off A.J. Francis in that fun Street Fight, so it's a bummer he had to follow that up with a loss, but at least it was to Nemeth, who has a TNA World Championship shot in his back pocket. Plus, this was a really entertaining encounter and Swann had a strong showing before eating defeat. My only complaint is that this felt rather random and I'm not sure what it was supposed to accomplish. Eric Young Attacked B.D.E.Young hasn't felt like a legitimate threat in quite some time, but it's logical to have him be one of B.D.E.'s first feuds. This was a simple segment with Young asking B.D.E. to join him in his "cleanse" (whatever the hell that means), B.D.E. refusing and Young attacking him. The angle was well done to put some much-needed heat on Young, and we found out afterward they'll face off at No Surrender. Mara Sade def. Ryan Nemeth in an Albuquerque Street FightThis was definitely an improvement over the match these two had at Genesis, which was very much a mess. This wasn't a barn burner by any means, but it did benefit from the stipulation. They made good use of it and the crowd was behind their hometown girl. Hopefully Sade winning means we can finally move on from this feud because Nemeth doesn't need to be on television as much as he is. The System (Bear Bronson, Cedric Alexander, Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards) def. TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys, Moose and TNA World Champion Mike SantanaI'm glad that closing segment from last week's iMPACT! actually amounted to something, even though this had very little to do with what any of these guys are doing at No Surrender tomorrow night. The action was enjoyable and especially chaotic down the stretch. The System going over was the right call since this was their first major match since the overhaul. Overall ShowPer usual, No Surrender feels completely inconsequential on paper and the build has left a bit to be desired. They've done what they can since Genesis to make some of the matches matter, but it doesn't appear to be a significant show at all. On the bright side, I did think this was a thumbs-up edition of iMPACT!. They took the "less is more" approach and it made the two hours fly by.
