Trey Miguel def. Adam BrooksApparently Brooks was a part of TNA's tour of Australia a few years ago. He had an impressive showing here and I'm glad he wasn't straight-up squashed. That said, Miguel winning was never in doubt. He just came back (though he wasn't gone very long) and is on his way to challenging for the TNA International Championship at No Surrender (as we found out later on in the show). The Righteous def. TW3 and Tommy Two ScoopsI believe this marked the first match The Righteous have had on iMPACT!, with their only other TNA match together being against The Hardys at Genesis. It's important to give them some wins so they can build up their credibility, even if they're beating enhancement talent like they did here. We found out later on that The Righteous will team with The Hardys to face Order 4 at No Surrender because The Righteous wants The Hardys to trust them, or something like that. Frankie Kazarian Addressed the AudienceI was curious what would be next for Kazarian following his loss of the TNA World Championship, and although he didn't say much of note here, there was a hint of a potential program between him and Elijah with Elijah coming out for his entrance at the end of Kazarian's promo. That doesn't feel like much of a step down considering Elijah's been pretty prominently featured in TNA so far, but even if it was, I don't know what you do with him otherwise. Order 4 (Tasha Steelz and Mustafa Ali) def. Jada Stone and ElijahStone is a newcomer to the Knockouts division and has shown signs of potential. This was a nice spot for her to be in and I thought she did well. It made sense for her to be the one to eat the pinfall, too. This was a fun bout and they made the most of the time they were allotted. Order 4's win puts more heat on them before we get to the rematch between Elijah and Ali. Tessa Blanchard def. Rachel LeyI genuinely have no idea what Blanchard is supposed to be doing these days. Giving her a showcase is fine, but she's been spinning her wheels for a while and has lost any momentum she had at the end of last year. Assuming she's been on her best behavior behind the scenes, you'd think she would've worked her way back to TNA Knockouts World Championship contention by now. Angel Warriors and Indi Hartwell def. The Elegance Brand (TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Heather and M by Elegance and Ash by Elegance)I guess we'll never know why Ash was sidelined in the first place, but at least she's back and Elegance Brand is in full force. This was solid stuff to further the feud between the two teams and get us closer to Ash presumably challenging Lei Ying Lee for the Knockouts World title, even though the babyfaces went over here. Before then, though, expect Angel Warriors to go for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. Moose Saved TNA World Champion Mike Santana and TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys from The SystemThis segment started so late in the show that you had to know it wouldn't last long. What's strange is that this isn't the eight-man tag team match we're getting at No Surrender. As previously mentioned, The Hardys and The Righteous are taking on Order 4 at the event while Santana teams with Leon Slater against Eddie Edwards and Nic Nemeth. There wasn't anything necessarily wrong with this segment, but it was on the shorter side and felt rushed. Overall ShowiMPACT! is starting to hit a rhythm again now that it's on AMC, which is an encouraging sign for the show's future. This wasn't a blow-away episode by any means (there were more one-sided matches than I would've liked and you didn't miss much if you didn't tune in), but it was adequate on the whole and moved things along heading into No Surrender next Friday night.
