 Xia Brookside and TNA Knockouts World Champion Lei Ying Lee BrawledBrookside and Lee kept their verbal exchange short and sweet as they should have because there isn't a whole lot more for them to say at this point. We already know their TNA Knockouts World Championship clash is confirmed for Slammiversary, so now it's more a matter of keeping them busy until then. Their subsequent brawl was fine yet nothing worth writing home about. TNA World Champion Mike Santana, Nic Nemeth and KC Navarro def. Order 4 (The Great Hands and TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali)Nemeth laid out Santana at the end of last week's episode, so I liked the hook of them having to coexist here before they battle for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary. Sure, it's a story WWE attempts to tell way too often, but it worked in this case because we don't know if Nemeth is officially a heel or not. Navarro just lost to Ali last week, so he was able to get that win back here without having to pin him. Frankie Kazarian Hosted The King's Speech with Leon Slater and TNA X-Division Champion Cedric AlexanderWe know that Alexander and Slater will both be a part of an Ultimate X match for the TNA X-Division Championship at Slammiversary and Kazarian revealed here that he'll be taking part in it as well. It was a solid segment designed to build toward the bout, even if nothing else extraordinary came out of it. On a side note, Alexander really needs to stop shouting in his promos because it's distracting. Ricky Sosa def. Dak DraperSosa hasn't had a ton of matches so far in TNA due to the hiatus he had to take for visa issues, but he's been impressive any time I've seen him in action. This was another standout showing from him and it didn't last longer than it needed to. Eric Young sat in on commentary because he'll be facing Sosa at Slammiversary. By the way, if Draper looked familiar, it's because he used to wrestle for Ring of Honor a few years ago. Indi Hartwell def. Elayna BlackThe first match these two had a few weeks ago was brief and uneventful, but this was a bit better. Granted, it wasn't given more than five minutes, but it was still decent. Hartwell hasn't won a match that's mattered in many months, so this was a step in the right direction, but Black is suffering from the same issue in that she has minimal (if any) momentum at the moment, and this "feud" is merely meant to keep them and Mara Sade busy outside of the TNA Knockouts World Championship picture for now. The System (Eddie Edwards and TNA World Tag Team Champions Brian Myers and Bear Bronson) def. Moose and The Broken HardysYes, Moose was also "broken" to match his partners. This was a nice match that not only furthered Edwards' feud with Moose but also gave us a preview of the Ladder matchup for the TNA World Tag Team Championship featuring The System and The Hardys at Slammiversary. Edwards cheated to pin Moose after The Righteous caused a distraction on the stage, so the babyfaces were protected in defeat. The Nemeths Interrupted TNA World Champion Mike SantanaI actually liked what they did with Santana and Nic Nemeth earlier in the show, so I'm not sure why this segment was necessary. Ryan Nemeth in particular was completely pointless, and while I understand what Nic was going for during his promo, it felt like it could have easily been saved for next week. It didn't help that this was the show-closing segment, so it made for an awkward ending. Overall ShowThe card for Slammiversary is pretty much confirmed, but the build for the show hasn't kicked into high gear whatsoever. The booking has been basic, but at least they're doing what they can to progress their existing storylines. Everything on this edition of iMPACT! seemed to serve a purpose, but there wasn't anything I'd recommend going out of your way to check out.
