Naomi def. Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Roxanne Perez and Alexa Bliss to Win the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder MatchThis was the more star-studded Ladder match of the two, but I enjoyed the men's slightly more. That's to take nothing away from the excellent effort these ladies put forth, however. This the usual demolition derby with everyone getting their time to shine, specifically the newcomers. Naomi was my pick to win and I'm extremely excited she did. She's been killing it as a heel and should be champion before long. Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio def. Octagon Jr.I wasn't sold on this being a four-match card coming into the event, so I'm glad they ultimately added a fifth match at the last minute, but this was very random. Yes, they set it up at Worlds Collide earlier in the day after Octagon won a six-man tag team match, but this crowd didn't seem to be too familiar with Octagon and didn't really care. They had a quality contest, but it was nothing out of the ordinary and the outcome was extremely obvious. Becky Lynch def. Lyra Valkyria in a Last Chance Match to Win the Women's Intercontinental ChampionshipThis wasn't officially branded a Last Chance match, but given the stipulation, that's basically what this was. Amazingly, it was even better than their Backlash bout and arguably the best match of the night. Their in-ring chemistry is so strong that it makes their matches such a blast to watch. Lynch cheating to win the title was the way to go in order to prolong their program, provided the endgame is Valkyria getting it back eventually. Seth Rollins def. LA Knight, Penta, El Grande Americano, Solo Sikoa and Andrade to Win the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder MatchWe get so many Ladder matches in WWE (and in wrestling in general) that a majority of them blend together for me by this point, but this was great stuff, nonetheless. My biggest nitpick was with that extended angle with Rollins' crew brawling with Sikoa's crew. That went on for way too long, but the Fatu face turn was well done. Knight needed this win more than anything, so Rollins winning instead was disappointing, especially since he doesn't need it. This was his time and WWE dropped the ball yet again. Sigh. Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso def. Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and Logan PaulTo me, there was never any doubt this was going on last, if only for the star power involved and WWE looking it as a marquee match as a result. At least they justified it with R-Truth a.k.a. Ron Killings returning at the end and costing Cena the win. That actually overshadowed the match itself, which was solid albeit unspectacular. I heard Triple H's comments from the post-show press conference where he indicated Truth not being renewed last weekend was all a part of the show, which is flat-out false. That aside, I'm happy they fixed their mistake by bringing him back. Rhodes pinning Cena should set him up for a rematch for the Undisputed WWE Championship, presumably at SummerSlam. Overall ShowOf the handful of premium live events WWE has done so far this year, I honestly thought this was one of the weaker ones. It wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't pack as much of a punch as previous installments. Naomi winning Money in the Bank was an awesome moment, but the Rollins win fell flat for me and the main event was mostly uneventful until Truth showed up. From an in-ring standpoint, Lynch and Valkyria stole the show, but Mysterio vs. Octagon was average at best. it was a middle-of-the-road pay-per-view on the whole.
