Evolve Champion Jackson Drake def. Sean LegacyIt's really cool that these guys got put on first as it forced viewers to pay attention and take notice. I don't watch Evolve at all, so any time they're featured on NXT TV is the only exposure I have to them, and I thought both Drake and Legacy were impressive here. It didn't take up a ton of time, but what we got was fun. For those curious, Drake is still aligned with Swipe Right, though Zayda Steel opted not to renew her WWE ID deal and is no longer with Evolve. Fallon Henley def. Zaria to Win the Vacant Women's Speed ChampionshipI'm not going to begin to care about either of the Speed titles, but I still don't understand why Ruca had to vacate the belt due to a storyline injury with Henley then having to win it in a pointless tournament. It made matters more convoluted than they needed to be. This was a good match and thankfully they went beyond the five-minute time limit because that always prevents these matches from being more. Just have Zaria betray Ruca and move on already. Lei Ying Lee def. Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace in a Triple Threat Match to Win the TNA Knockouts World ChampionshipThe booking of the Knockouts World title has been terrible since Slammiversary. First, they have Jacy Jane beat Masha Slamovich to hold both that belt and the NXT Women's Championship, only to lose it to Ash by Elegance in a three-way at Heatwave a month later where she wasn't pinned. Ash having to vacate it wasn't anyone's fault, but Jordan won it on a whim, turned heel and then got pinned for it here. The match was well worked and I'm happy for Lee, but why not have Indi Hartwell dethrone Jordan after she should have won it a month ago at Bound for Glory? Evolve Women's Champion Kendal Grey def. Lainey ReidThe story coming into this contest was that Fatal Influence was going for the hat trick with all three members holding gold. Ultimately, Reid fell short, but she had a solid showing and has potential. Grey seems to be the one with the higher ceiling based on everything I've seen from her recently. This was a nice match, but I could've done without all of the interference. Myles Borne def. Trick Williams to Qualify for the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge Match at DeadlineJohn Cena appeared in two video packages on this show where he announced all of the combatants in the men's and women's Iron Survivor Challenge matches except for one spot in the men's, which was earned by Borne here. Williams won it two years ago and didn't need to be a part of it again, whereas Borne is on the rise and has had a breakout year on his own. This didn't feel like a main event, especially on a show all about championship matches, but at least it had something at stake. Overall ShowFor a show that was taped a week ago, I didn't expect this to be as newsworthy as it was with two new champions being crowned. We were going to get a new Women's Speed Champion regardless, but Lee clinching the Knockouts World title came out of nowhere. They made the episode worthwhile with four titles on the line and the build for Deadline, including the lineups for the Iron Survivor Challenges finally being made official.
