Thea Hail def. Amari MillerBoth Hail and Miller are babyfaces, so this had a strange dynamic. That said, Hail was the clear fan favorite because there isn't anything interesting about Miller whatsoever. As I've said in the past, she's decent in the ring, but I have yet to see her have an above-average showing. This wasn't very good as they didn't click, so it would have been better off being shorter than it was. Hail winning was the correct outcome, though. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price def. Bryson Montana and Oba FemiIt was certainly a questionable choice to put all four of these guys in the ring together considering all of them are relatively inexperienced as far as I understand. That said, this ended up being better than expected. Sure, it had a slightly slow pace and wasn't a barn burner by any means, but it was perfectly fine for the time allotted to them. They would have benefited from having someone more seasoned in there to work with. Oro Mensah def. Javier BernalI'm glad we've been seeing vignettes airing for Mensah on NXT TV in recent weeks. He was building momentum upon arriving on the brand in the fall and even took part in the NXT North American Championship Ladder match at Halloween Havoc but has barely appeared on the program since. As for Bernal, he plays his role as the undercard heel really well and can hold his own in the ring as well. This was a nice little match while it lasted with Mensah picking up another victory as he prepares to return to NXT TV soon. Overall ShowThe last thing you need to do in the final days of 2022 is go out of your way to watch Level Up, especially with the show being of subpar quality this week. The first two matches were mediocre, but although the main event was easily the best of the bunch, even that wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It's a bummer because I thought Level Up had one of its stronger shows last week and they failed to follow up on it properly with this edition.
