Nikkita Lyons def. Jakara JacksonI thought the "Thank you, Jesus" chants for the crowd at the beginning were a bit excessive. It wasn't the vast majority but rather the section of horny males. Unsurprisingly, this wasn't very good. These women could end up having bright futures but should not be paired with each other at this point. By the way, I have no idea what happened to Lyons' rivalry with Zoey Stark and if it's over or not, but it's not like I cared to see it continue. Damon Kemp def. Tank LedgerI liked the story of Kemp not being a fan of Ledger's goofy antics and wanting him to take wrestling more seriously. Both guys obviously come from athletic backgrounds but need more seasoning. Kemp is coming along really nicely and Ledger has been impressive, so I enjoyed this while it lasted. Kemp winning was the right call as he should be winning more matches before eventually returning to NXT TV in a regular role. Joe Gacy def. Odyssey JonesThis was an interesting matchup because of how Gacy has been protected over the last year and Jones just recently returned. I'm not the biggest Schism fan, but I do appreciate that Gacy has been allowed to let loose a little in the ring in recent months. This probably could have been better with more time, but what we got from them was good. Gacy had the numbers advantage with the rest of Schism at ringside, so it was logical that he would win. Overall ShowThe last play-by-play commentator, Sudu Shah, announced his departure from WWE last week, so he has since been replaced by Matt Camp, who was already occasionally doing commentary for Level Up. I don't see the commentary change making much of a difference either way. I miss Nigel McGuinness, dammit! At any rate, this was your average edition of Level Up. The main event featured more star power than we're used to seeing on this show and it was solid for what it was. Kemp vs. Ledger was also decent and the opener could have been worse, so I have no complaints this week.
