WWE NXT: Revenge: Week 1 Review - April 14, 2026

Kelani Jordan def. Jaida Parker

This was a rematch from a few weeks ago, so I'm surprised this didn't have some sort of a stipulation. Maybe they want to wait in case they do a rubber match now that they've split wins? Regardless, this was another enjoyable encounter from them. I wouldn't be surprised to see either one of these women called up to the main roster coming out of WrestleMania 42.

Keanu Carver Crashed Joe Hendry's Concert

Hendry was having one of his usual concerts when Carver showed up to lay him out. I enjoy Hendry's concerts, but he can't do them too often because he runs the risk of ruining their appeal. Now that he's no longer NXT Champion, there's a pretty good chance he's heading to the main roster imminent, so it makes sense for him to put over Carver (who officials are clearly high on) before he moves on to Raw or SmackDown.

Kali Armstrong def. Skylar Raye

I don't regularly watch Evolve, so I haven't been following Armstrong's progress. I watched her work on NXT Level Up, but from what I've seen and heard, she's come a long way since then. I thought this was a great introduction for her on the NXT brand and Raye (a plucky underdog) was a good first opponent for her. With so many call-ups coming, Armstrong will help fill the void left behind.

NXT Champion Tony D'Angelo def. Ethan Page

With this positioned as being in the middle of the show, there was no reason to expect a title change. Granted, I don't think anyone was honestly expecting the title to change hands anyway, but that just made it more obvious. Nonetheless, this was a solid match. I don't know what D'Angelo does as champ (his character already feels like it's peaked) going forward, but Page absolutely belongs on the main roster at this point.

DarkState Interrupted NXT North American Champion Myles Borne

​DarkState interrupting Borne was logical since Dion Lennox has been targeting Borne in recent weeks. The mic work from everyone here was fine, but the bigger takeaway was the tension teased within DarkState's ranks. The group's motivations have barely been established over the last year, so I'd have no issue with breaking them up once they fail in their pursuit of the NXT North American Championship.

EK Prosper def. Dorian Van Dux in a WWE Speed Championship Tournament Semifinal Match

I may have mentioned this before, but for those unaware, Eli Knight is now EK Prosper, probably because of LA Knight on the main roster. That's a name change I can understand. Prosper is a talented dude and he was the right choice to advance. He and Van Dux had a nice little sprint, but as I've said several times in the past, these Speed matches are always too short to be anything out of the ordinary.

NXT Women's Champion and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion Lola Vice def. Jacy Jane

This definitely felt like Jane's NXT swan song, and perhaps for all of Fatal Influence. I'm glad she put over Vice one-on-one on her way out if that does end up being the case. This was a quality main event. I appreciate their effort to make some of the nearfalls down the stretch suspenseful, even though I didn't buy into any of them. There were teases for Vice's future challengers afterward with a handful of people showing up.

Overall Show

This is the first time NXT has ever done a two-week Revenge special (they've never done it for one week, either) and I like the concept. It allows the brand to wrap up any storylines that aren't over after Stand & Deliver and give certain stars a sendoff if they're due for a main roster call-up. This was a successful first week of Revenge despite the predictable outcomes to the two title matches.
