WWE NXT: Revenge: Week 2 Review - April 21, 2026

NXT North American Champion Myles Borne def. Dion Lennox

With DarkState teasing tension as of late, the finish felt heavily foreshadowed with Borne retaining the title. That said, it was the correct outcome. They had a good opener. Lennox has definitely improved in the ring and is slowly but surely coming into his own as a character, but I still wouldn't have put the belt on him here. The sooner we can move on from DarkState, the better.

Keanu Carver def. Joe Hendry

It was already obvious last week when Carver interrupted Hendry's concert last week that Hendry was headed to the main roster, and it was officially announced via a graphic on Monday's Raw that Hendry will be formally debuting on next week's episode. Thus, it was pretty predictable Carver was winning here, but he needed to. I liked how he dominated the match and went over in decisive fashion, giving him an extra boost in the process with Hendry on his way out.

Lexis King def. EK Prosper in the Finals of the WWE Speed Championship Tournament to Win the Vacant WWE Speed Championship

Prosper is the perfect person to be holding that Speed title given his in-ring style, but I understand having King go over instead considering Birth Right really hasn't won anything of note so far in their time together. Then again, the Speed title hardly matters, so will it do that much to make King feel like a threat? Probably not. This was a nice sprint, but these Speed matches are rarely anything other than "fine" to me.

NXT Women's North American Champion Tatum Paxley def. Blake Monroe in a Casket Match

I honestly thought this match could have gone either way since Paxley won their first match at Stand & Deliver, but Paxley retaining all but confirms that Monroe will be Raw or SmackDown bound imminently, potentially as soon as Friday night. I enjoyed their feud for as long as it lasted and I can say the same for this match. Casket matches aren't typically my favorite, but they made this one work.

Izzi Dame Attacked NXT Women's Champion and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion Lola Vice

A bunch of women were seen scouting Vice at the last of last week's episode, but it looks like Dame is going to be next up to challenge her. I have no issue with that as a temporary program for Vice, even though I continue to find Dame basic and uninteresting. Having The Culling with her doesn't give her "aura" they think it does. Nonetheless, this was a decent segment to set up the eventual match.

Zaria def. Sol Ruca in a Last Woman Standing Match

This was the match I was hoping they'd have at Stand & Deliver. It was hard-hitting and there were plenty of cool spots. That doesn't include the ending, however, which looked scary because of how Ruca landed. Otherwise, this was great stuff. We already saw Ruca debut on Raw this week, so Zaria needed to go over so she has some momentum going forward on NXT.

Overall Show

This was solid and on par with Week 1 of the two-week Revenge special. All in all, I thought both Revenge shows were more eventful than Stand & Deliver, especially in terms of sending off certain talent. We got a Casket match and a Last Woman Standing match on the same show and both delivered, so this felt like a mini premium live event. Who NXT intends to replenish the pot with in light of all these call-ups remains to be seen.
