NXT North American Champion Ethan Page def. Sean LegacyLegacy earned this shot several weeks ago by winning a Triple Threat, but with Page becoming champion shortly before Worlds Collide, there was no way the title was changing hands here. Nonetheless, this was an enjoyable opener from these two. Legacy is an Evolve talent, so hopefully we'll continue to see him on NXT TV in the future, while Page continues to do great work. The Culling (Niko Vance and Shawn Spears) def. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki InamuraThis was a logical match to do after what happened at Battleground, but I can't bring myself to care about any of it. Even with Brooks Jensen seemingly being booted from The Culling, they're still a weak faction. Yes, they won here, but I simply don't see them as legitimate threats to the NXT Tag Team Championship. This was a well-worked match, but it just felt like it existed to me and nothing more. Lash Legend def. Wren SinclairThis was way too short to be anything out of the ordinary. Sinclair bumps around well, but I don't see anything significant being in her immediate future while they focus on other people, including Legend. She's officially on her own and this victory suggests that she's being built up for something. She's certainly improved from where she was, so we'll see if she can deliver in the matches that matter. NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jane def. Lainey ReidReid making her official NXT TV debut last week would've been more effective if she wasn't one of a million women who interrupted Jane. I'm glad she got the video package treatment on this show, but this felt very rushed. Yes, Jane is a vulnerable champion, but there was next to no chance of her losing here. The match was fine but didn't feel like a big deal at all despite being the title being on the line. The High Ryze (Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe) def. The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo and Luca Crusifino)The melodrama with The D'Angelo Family isn't doing much for me at this point, but it's still going. As a match, this was decent, but Channing Lorenzo costing D'Angelo the win was the focal point. I'd like to see High Ryze rack up more wins and work their way toward NXT Tag Team Championship contention, but I'm not confident this is going to lead anywhere for them. NXT Champion Oba Femi def. Jasper TroyThis was a hell of a hoss fight. It was yet another championship match on this show where I didn't expect the title to change hands whatsoever, but this was explosive stuff and I thought Troy was damn impressive. The turnbuckle spot may have been a bit silly, but otherwise, this was an entertaining main event. My only worry now is Troy potentially peaking early, so hopefully they have something planned for him coming out of this. Overall ShowAlthough three titles are on the line on this edition of NXT, none of them were ever in true jeopardy, so this wasn't exactly an episode you need to seek out. In fact, even more newsworthy was Mariah May getting her new ring name: Blake Monroe. Monroe makes sense, but why change Mariah to Blake? Regardless, this was an average effort on the whole, but it was more about wrapping up existing storylines than kicking anything off heading into The Great American Bash (other than the crowning of Jane's next challenger, but that's more relevant to Evolution).
