NXT UK Women's Champion Toni Storm Ignited a Brawl with Rhea RipleyIt was cool we had a chance to hear from Storm for the first time since she captured the NXT UK Women's Championship at TakeOver: Blackpool. She cut a nice promo about winning the Mae Yong Classic and then toppling Ripley for the title, which brought out Ripley. She was awesome on the mic as well and their brief brawl offered a small taste of their upcoming rematch for the gold. This was a solid segment all around. Noam Dar def. Jordan DevlinIf you haven't already seen it, be sure to check out Dar's No Disqualification match with Tony Nese from this week's 205 Live when you get a chance. This wasn't as exciting in my opinion, but they still produced a very well-wrestled match and made the most of the time they were allotted. I also liked how Devlin nearly put Dar away the same way he did Travis Banks, but because Banks came down to ringside to prevent that from happening, Dar was able to score the surprise victory. Jinny def. Mia YimI've noted in the past how Jinny has gradually grown on me and how she simply has that "star" presence about her. I can definitely see her contending for the NXT UK Women's Championship in no time, and I assume that's why she's been scoring so many victories lately. Yim is one of NXT's more underrated athletes in my opinion, so I was glad she had a chance to shine here as well before eating defeat. WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne def. Wolfgang (Non-title)I'm almost positive I've seen this match before (maybe on NXT TV a year or so ago?), and while I've never been the biggest Wolfgang fan, I thought he did well here and that this was a quality main event. Of course, the outcome was never in doubt, but both guys had good showings, the crowd was behind Dunne throughout, and I appreciated that the rest of Gallus never interfered. Overall ShowThis episode emanated from Royal Rumble Axxess, which was held just a few weeks ago. I expected most of the matches to be meaningless filler, but this ended up being a fairly significant show on the whole between the build for the upcoming NXT UK Women's Championship rematch, Jinny maintaining momentum, Dunne making an appearance in the main event, and Devlin and Banks furthering their feud. All in all, it was an entertaining edition of NXT UK.
