Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins def. Sami Zayn and CM PunkThis was a smart choice to serve as the opener because the crowd was so hot for it. This had enjoyable action and the finish was fantastic with Bronson Reed returning, attacking Punk and officially joining Paul Heyman's new crew. Yes, Rollins and Reed were feuding before Reed got hurt, so they'll have to acknowledge that on Raw and explain why they're willing to work together now, but I'm a big fan of the move otherwise. Six-man tag team match with Rollins, Breakker and Reed against Zayn, Punk and Roman Reigns or Jey Uso incoming? Women's United States Champion Zelina Vega def. Chelsea GreenThis hasn't been a feud I've been super into, but I appreciate that WWE has largely booked Vega strong since she became champ. Of course, Green is great, but this rivalry ran its course and it was logical for Vega to beat her decisively in their rematch. That botched 619 from Vega was rough, but they had a nice match otherwise in the time they were allotted and that Code Red off the top was sweet. Hopefully Giulia is next up for a title shot after pinning Vega in that Triple Threat Money in the Bank qualifier on SmackDown. Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena def. R-Truth (Non-Title)Truth coming out to Cena's entrance theme and with similar attire was cool but would've been so much better if Cena had actually changed up his attire and entrance theme after turning heel. Nonetheless, I had no issue with this basically being a quick squash for Cena. I wish it had a better buildup with the two interacting more than they did, but realistically, it would've been silly for this to be competitive. I thought Truth might win by disqualification or count-out to set up a rematch at Money in the Bank, but I'm honestly fine with that not happening. Damian Priest def. Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage MatchI almost wish this happened on SmackDown instead so it could have been slotted as the main event and been given more time. However, what we got was good, especially down the stretch. These two have quality chemistry together and never cease to make their matches feel like a fight. Priest winning was the correct call and having it be so decisive was appropriate with McIntyre reportedly being written off for a bit to rest up. World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso def. Logan PaulI never expected this to be a barn burner, but I did have higher hopes for it, if only because of how over both guys are in their respective roles. Unfortunately, this was ravaged by commercials, so it ended up being average at best. The convoluted ending didn't help, but the crowd did pop big for Cody Rhodes returning and helping thwart Cena's interference. It was rushed, but afterward, they made Rhodes and Uso vs. Cena and Paul official for Money in the Bank. Overall ShowWWE had the right idea when they went with the four-match format for the installment in January. Five matches is too much when you have to factor in commercials and whatnot. Hell, it felt like a vast majority of this show was commercials, or at least anything but wrestling. It was another solid event, but once again, the outcomes were too predictable. At least the returns of Rhodes and Reed were eventful and there was a big match announcement for Money in the Bank. WWE can't continue to play it safe with Saturday Night's Main Event in the future, but I fear that they will. I'm glad we're getting these at all, but the pacing can absolutely be improved.
