In less than 24 hours, I'll be leaving for Endicott college in Beverly, Massachusetts. There, I'll be majoring in journalism while also looking into communications as well. It's hard to believe that it's all happening so soon, but I guess time flies when you're having fun. Departing for college is an amazing experience, and I'm of course extremely excited for it. On the other hand, I'll miss my friends and family, but this isn't the first time this has happened. I traveled with the People To People program for three consecutive summers in 2006, 2007 and 2008, with two of the trips being three weeks long. So, I have some experience in going away for an extended period of time, but it will be another three months before I'm back home for Thanksgiving break.

Nonetheless, this has been a long time coming. I've been aching for a change in scenery for the longest time, and I'm happy to be finally getting it. I grew sick of the same old high school routine after awhile (by sophomore year to be exact), and college will be very different. Of course, it will be more difficult, but you also receive much more freedom in college than you do in high school. Attending college gives you the chance to meet new people, explore new interests, and to have a fun time (not too much fun, of course). So, what is there not to look forward to?

Two and a half years ago, I had zero idea what I wanted to do for a living. I was a sophomore in high school at the time, and whenever I was asked by someone what I planned to major in, I had zero idea what to respond with. I always liked to write (especially about professional wrestling), but I never thought of doing it as a profession. Obviously, I didn't start looking at colleges as most people, but I did start early on in my senior year of high school. I found the perfect place, Endicott college, which is where I'll be going starting tomorrow. It's just funny to think back now that I didn't always know what I wanted to do when I grew up and that I had absolutely no clue what the future had in store for me. While I started looking at colleges later than most, I certainly knew what my passion was at an earlier point in my life as well.

As far as what I'll have time for while in college, it's hard to say at this point. Needless to say, schoolwork is the number one priority and everything else comes second. As expressed in my last blog post, I have no intentions of using Twitter going forward, or at least anytime soon. Facebook seems to be the social networking outlet where maturity can be found, so that's where I'll be residing for the foreseeable future. I've been writing for Bleacher Report for over three years and will continue to write there while in college. I might be writing for other wrestling websites as well, but I will most definitely still be writing reviews of the weekly WWE and TNA programming.

I've already announced that I won't be posting videos to YouTube during my college stay, as I don't think I'll be able to film any videos. My wrestling radio talk show "Save Us GSM" will no longer be running on a weekly basis for the remainder of the year, but it will return eventually. Additionally, I'll be looking to join the school newspaper as well as start up my own radio show while at Endicott, so those are two projects I look to go to work on starting in September. In conclusion, I appreciate all the strong support I've received from my faithful followers over the years and hope that everyone else (whether you're attending college or not) has a safe school year ahead of them. As for me, well, I'm Beverly bound.
