Burchill def. Magic Jake Dumas to Qualify for the NWA National Championship Four-Way MatchIt's been cool to see Burchill stick around in the NWA. He's been faring well in the ring as well as with promos (in the limited amount of backstage interviews he's had, that is). Now he has a chance to capture gold. Hey, I wouldn't mind seeing it. I actually prefer him over the other people who have qualified for this Four-Way so far. This was a nice, competitive opener and they worked well together. Mecha Wolf def. Alex Misery in an Unsanctioned MatchMaybe there was a reason for why this happened and I missed it, but either way, this was fun while it lasted. I know there was nothing at stake, but this felt worthier of going on last than what we got in the main event spot instead. Both guys were impressive. La Rebelion is no more with Bestia 666 leaving the NWA, but I can definitely get behind a singles push for Wolf, possibly with Vampiro as his manager. Jax Dane and Tim Storm def. Magnum MuscleI'm still not sure why Storm and Dane are teaming. I understand why from a storyline standpoint with them putting their previous differences as rivals aside, but they're a very dull team and are slow and plodding in most of their matches. However, this was decent. Dax Draper didn't bother to save Mims at the end, so he appears to be heading for a heel turn, perhaps because Mims is already more of a singles star, anyway. Zyon def. AJ Cazana to Qualify for the NWA National Championship Four-Way MatchAs has always been the case, I can't bring myself to care about anything involving Zyon. I guess we're never going to get the payoff between him and Cyon, not that it really matters. This was well worked, but they saved the most boring bout for last because this wasn't very interesting. Also, the wrong person won, but I can't say I'm surprised considering Zyon has largely been protected up to this point. As long as he isn't the one to win the NWA National Championship... Overall ShowThe NWA National Championship qualifiers the past two weeks have given matches that would otherwise be pointless more meaning. Zyon and Burchill both qualified this week, which leaves one spot left to be filled. The tag match in the middle was whatever, but the development with Draper and Mims was unexpected. Additionally, the Unsanctioned match was enjoyable for what it was. This was a rock-solid edition of Powerrr on the whole.
