Since this past May's Day of Darkness IV event, Next Era Wrestling has been deemed inactive in order for huge renovations to follow, hence explaining the loss of pay-per-views and shows over the past months. NEW is looking to cut short its roster, and use their old format by abolishing the brand extension from here on out. The championships, however, will remain loyal to the specific brand. Although talent can now appear on both shows, it's been said that some top stars such as Bernie Batista, Jackson Mirmina, and Billy Deadman among others will remain with their current brand to further rivalries. With that said, it is unknown whether rivalries will continue upon the organization's grand reopening in a few weeks. A polished roster will further the changes made to the company to revert "back to the basics" some would say. More to come as further details are revealed.
