#AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews, answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:

  • Who will become the biggest breakout star between Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Io Shirai and Toni Storm?
  • Will Sami Zayn ever win a championship on the main roster?
  • What does the future hold for Tyson Fury in WWE following his huge win over Deontay Wilder?
  • Who is behind the recent static on SmackDown?
  • Does NXT UK need a midcard championship?
  • Could The Undertaker team with Aleister Black against The O.C. at WrestleMania 36?
  • Should Shayna Baszler continue coming out through the crowd?
  • Thoughts on the rumored changes to the WrestleMania card on the SmackDown side?
  • Thoughts on Samoa Joe getting suspended for 30 days?
  • Is there a chance WrestleMania isn't absurdly long this year?
  • And MUCH more!

Mark Haskins def. Alex Shelley

(From my Free Enterprise review...) Shelley is fresh off his brief run in NXT, where he reunited with his Time Splitters partner Kushida. I'm still holding out hope that they'll bring him back at some point and sign him to a deal, but it's cool to see him continue to wrestle for Ring of Honor in the meantime. At any rate, Haskins has been on the ascent since beating Bully Ray at Final Battle and will be competing for the ROH World Championship soon, so it was necessary for him to win here. This was an enjoyable opener from him and Shelley.

The Righteous def. Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle

(From my Free Enterprise review...) The Righteous are the new name for the faction consisting of Vincent, Bateman, Chuckles (the clown dude) and whoever the woman is. As for Hendry and Castle, they've gotten over as a popular face tag team recently, but their losing ways continued here. It's worth noting that it wasn't due to miscommunication this time and that The Righteous simply got the better of them (because of outside interference, of course). It wasn't an overly exhilarating match, but that isn't really what The Righteous are about. As I've said before, the group is growing on me.

Daga def. Rob Van Dam by count-Out

I wasn't overly impressed with the match these two had at Hard to Kill, but I assumed that was because it was put together on the fly due to Brian Cage's injury. Unfortunately, this wasn't much of an improvement. RVD's heel run has been a refreshing change of pace for him, but his matches haven't been significantly better. If anything, Katie Forbes continues to serve as a massive distraction at ringside. The rivalry isn't over yet, but I don't think Daga really gained anything from this count-out win.

Rohit Raju def. Wentz

If the plan is for The Rascalz to feud with Desi Hit Squad, then no thanks. The Rascalz are always fun to watch in the ring, but not even they can get me to care about Desi Hit Squad. What's worse is that Wentz lost to Raju here. I guess they have to give Desi Hit Squad credibility somehow, but I don't see them as any more of a threat despite Raju's win over Wentz. This lasted much longer than it should have.

Jimmy Havoc def. Marko Stunt

I'm not sure if Havoc is supposed to be a face or a heel at this point, but what I do know is that the crowd was very much Stunt in this bout. I still find it difficult to buy into Stunt as a real threat to anyone, but Havoc isn't exactly a giant, so I didn't mind that he lasted as long as he did here. It was a nice little sprint where the right man went over. By the way, I have zero interest in a program or even a match between Havoc and Luther despite their similar backgrounds in hardcore wrestling.

The Dark Order def. Strong Hearts

The Dark Order have become infinitely more interesting since the whole "Exalted One" storyline started and the quality of their matches is improving as well. The original members have always been talented, but their matches bored me to tears because their gimmick sucked. The outcome of this contest was never in doubt, but it was well wrestled while it lasted and gave Dark Order a nice win that allowed them to maintain momentum.

Thomas Latimer and Danny Deals Interrupted Tim Storm

Storm has been feuding with Strictly Business for a while now, so I thought their face-off here would lead to a match on this show. Instead, the seeds were planted once again before Danny Deals confronted Storm, who was adamant about exacting revenge against Deals for mocking Momma Storm a few weeks ago. Deals then brought out Jax Dane, the man Storm beat for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship back in 2015. If Storm can beat Dane, he'll get five minutes with Deals.

Ricky Starks def. NWA Television Champion Ricky Starks and Matt Cross in a Three-Way Match (Non-Title)

Starks has had entertaining matches with both of these guys over the past month, so unsurprisingly, this three-way was fun. They all had quality chemistry together and kept the pace going nicely. Cross hasn't scored many victories so far in the NWA, but at least he never ceases to deliver. Dice pinned Starks and earned himself another one-on-one shot at the Television title next week on Powerrr.
