Logan Paul Attacked RicochetWe've reached that stage in the build to this bout where there isn't anything left for them to say, so although they were basically repeating themselves here (including the footage of their interaction from the Royal Rumble), it still served as a good final push for their SummerSlam match. Ricochet has stood tall more often than not, so Paul getting the better of him made sense, but hopefully this doesn't mean Ricochet is winning. Paul needs the victory much more than he does.

Kickoff Show: NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer, Dragon Lee, Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon def. The Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson)For as little as I've cared about this feud in the last two months, I have to everyone involved credit for making this a fun time. It was perfectly positioned on the Kickoff show and all eight athletes had time to shine, including the inexperienced women. Frazer and Lee particularly shined thanks to their awesome offense. Hopefully this marked the end of the rivalry. Does the NXT Heritage Cup really need to be a thing?
Andrade El Idolo def. AEW World Trios Champion Buddy Matthews in a Ladder Match to Reclaim His MaskLadder matches have been done to death in WWE and AEW in recent years to the point where it's hard to get excited about them, especially when the storyline surrounding Andrade's mask hasn't been overly interesting. That said, this was very entertaining, they delivered some crazy spots, and the crowd was hot for it. I'd say this was the blow-off to Andrade's feud with House of Black, but I assume we're still headed toward him finding two partners to challenge them for the AEW World Trios Championship.
Big Bill and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Brian Cage Won an AEW World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's Battle RoyaleWe literally had a big Battle Royale on last week's Rampage and it was much better than this because it was different than your average Battle Royale. Did we really need to crown number one contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championship before Adam Cole and MJF get their shot on Saturday's Collision. In fact, it only made it more obvious that FTR are retaining because Cole and MJF already beat Bill and Cage a few weeks ago. At any rate, Luther and Serpentico being in this thing was comical, though the rest of this was standard stuff. I like Cage and Bill as a team, but shouldn't there have been a segment to explain why Bill isn't teaming with Lee Moriarty in AEW anymore?
Damon Kemp def. Ikemen JiroKemp is coming off three straight losses to Eddy Thorpe on NXT TV, so this allowed him to get back on track. Jiro was a logical person for him to work with because he's a big fan favorite and could sell really well for Kemp's offense. This was mostly a quality contest, but it seemed like they didn't click at certain points and the finish did not look great. Jiro almost landed badly on his neck, so hopefully Kemp can clean up that suplex finisher in the future if he's going to continue doing it.
