 NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa Confronted Johnny GarganoThis was taped right after Gargano and Ciampa made their main roster debuts, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect. I will say that it would have made more sense for this to happen beforehand to explain why they were teaming, but they had already put their differences aside for Halftime Heat, so I can't say I'm too bothered by that. This was a very good segment that saw DIY officially reunite and announce their intentions to win the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Vanessa Borne and Aliyah def. Xia Li and Taynara ContiBorne and Aliyah formed an alliance a few weeks back and this was their debut as a tag team. I'm still not sold on either of them, but I guess they won't get much experience until they're on TV more. This was a perfectly passable match, and although it wasn't always smooth, everyone involved held their own. Borne and Aliyah would benefit from working with more established names, though they didn't look terrible here.

 Tyler Bate def. Gentleman Jack GallagherI didn't realize how good of a fit Gallagher was for NXT UK until he appeared on the program here. That said, I'd totally be in favor of him making a move to NXT UK sometime soon. Aside from his alliance with Drew Gulak, it's not like he's doing too much of note on 205 Live these days. At any rate, this was a very well-wrestled match from him and Bate. I liked how it was submission-based and played to their strengths, so while it wasn't too flashy, the crowd seemed to enjoy the action, anyway. WALTER def. Kassius OhnoWALTER has been on absolute tear since arriving in NXT UK last month and his streak of dominance continued here. Ohno has been a glorified stepping stone in NXT for almost two years, so although the outcome was never in doubt, this was a successful showcase for WALTER ahead of his eventual shot at the WWE United Kingdom Championship. This hard-hitting affair was fun while it lasted.

Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:
 Madison Rayne def. Sumie Sakai and Jenny Rose in a Three-Way MatchAlthough this was nothing on the line here, this was a good showcase for three of the Women of Honor division's finest competitors. I'm really high on Rayne and am surprised she hasn't gotten a run with the WOH World Championship yet. That said, I was glad she won by pinning the inaugural champ. This was a well-worked match on the whole. Not everything they did was smooth, but it had a nice pace and they constantly kept things interesting with the three-way format. Lifeblood def. ROH World Champion Jay LEthal, ROH World Television Champion Jeff Cobb, Dalton Castle, Flip Gordon and Jonathan GreshamLast week, Lifeblood challenged Lethal to find four partners and take them on in a 10-man tag team match to remind fans what Ring of Honor is all about. The early goings were fun and it was cool to see some of ROH's top stars mix it up with the newcomers. The interaction between Gordon and Bandido was especially enjoyable, and once they picked up the pace, this turned into a real treat. Needless to say, Lifeblood going over was the right call considering they only just formed and needed to be established as a credible force.
 Tony Nese def. Kalisto in a WWE Cruiserweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Quarterfinal MatchWe've been seeing a rejuvenated Nese on 205 Live in recent months and it's been such a breath of fresh air for his once-stagnant character. Granted, he has always been a talented competitor, but he's much more intense now and it has made his matches infinitely more entertaining. This was a real good effort from both guys and a very well-wrestled match overall. Nese was the right call to advance, and in fact, he's my current pick to win the whole thing given his history with Buddy Murphy (thought I don't know if that's necessarily the best move since it would be heel vs. heel). Drew Gulak def. The Brian Kendrick in a WWE Cruiserweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Quarterfinal MAtchGulak and Kendrick spent many months feuding last year when Kendrick broke away from Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Since it was already known that they had quality chemistry together, I expected this to be entertaining and they delivered. The slow pace early on won't be for everybody, but I appreciated the story they told with Gulak working over certain body parts of Kendrick and applying various submission holds (of which he is a master) in attempt to put his old ally away. Similar to the aforementioned outing, I agreed with the outcome, but I'm not sure if Gulak vs. Murphy would be a compelling Cruiserweight Championship match.
