Alisha Edwards Won an Impact Knockouts World Championship No. 1 Contender's Battle RoyalI feel like I've seen a million Battle Royals in WWE and AEW this year, but I'll give IMPACT a pass because they barely do them. That's not to say this was anything special, though. It was a fairly basic Battle Royal with some of the eliminations setting up different matchups. Alisha wasn't the most exciting choice to go over, mostly because she's been positioned as an enhancement talent for a majority of her IMPACT run, but I suppose she'll be a a fine filler feud and an easy opponent for Trinity to run through at Victory Road.

NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr. def. MetalikAs I've said before, I'm all for Sabre appearing somewhat regularly on ROH TV and defending his title whenever he's around. There's almost no chance he'll drop it on ROH TV as opposed to a New Japan Pro-Wrestling event, but the matches are fun what they are. This was an enjoyable opener. I had completely forgotten about these two meeting in the semifinals of WWE's Cruiserweight Classic seven years ago (that long ago already?!) and it was cool that Sabre was finally able to avenge that loss to Metalik here.
Katana Chance def. WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Chelsea GreenPiper Niven, the other half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, wasn't in Green's corner, but that's not unusual because it's not like they've been close friends since Niven stepped up to be Green's new partner. The tag titles remain irrelevant because there really isn't much of a division, but at least they got some exposure on Main Event (for whatever that's worth). Despite the wonky-looking finish, this was a nice little match and I was actually surprised Chance won, as it might mean Chance and Kayden Carter are in line for another title opportunity.
Jon Moxley def. KomanderPenta El Zero Miedo's manager accompanied Komander here and it was explained later on that it was because Penta wanted to scout Moxley in case he had to face him at All Out, but we knew that wasn't happening. This essentially served as a warm-up for Moxley. It was a quality contest, but there was zero question regarding the outcome. They should probably give Komander a win or two once in a while so he has some shred of credibility.
