Braxton Sutter and Allie Saved Karen Jarrett From KM and Sienna

It's only been one week and I'm already sick of seeing Karen Jarrett on TV. She surprisingly received a hero's welcome from the crowd last week, but she was back to being the emasculating authority figure on this show. In so many words, she is Impact Wrestling's version of Stephanie McMahon. We didn't find out much about KM other than he's Sienna's cousin, but this was a decent segment otherwise.

Andrew Everett def. DJ Z

I'm glad the X-Division competitors were showcased in singles competition this week as opposed to a multi-man match as we've seen in the past few weeks. Both Everett and DJ Z are babyfaces, so the crowd didn't have an incentive to cheer one guy over the other, but it was well-wrestled from an in-ring standpoint and having Everett beat the former two-time X-Division Champion gave him a credible win. It's great he and Trevor Lee are resuming their rivalry and I'm anticipating the upcoming rematch.

Dash Wilder def. Johnny Gargano and NXT Tag Team Champion Akam in a Triple Threat Match

The build to the NXT Tag Team Championship match at TakeOver: Orlando has been really well done and this was a fun final sell for the bout. The in-ring action was enjoyable and I liked how Gargano and Akam worked a majority of the match while Wilder killed time on the outside, which led to the finish with Wilder sneaking in and stealing the pinfall victory. I don't expect The Revival to regain the gold on Saturday, so it was wise to give them the win here.

Heavy Machinery def. Jonathon Ortegan and Mike Marshall

Heavy Machinery have made a pair of appearances on NXT TV before and have been hyped up via vignettes for a few weeks, so it was cool for them to finally re-debut. Not only that, but they received a hell of a showcase here that the crowd (which has been virtually dead for this entire taping) was actually hot for. It's great Heavy Machinery are impressive in the ring but what's even more important is that they can connect with the crowd. They have already won me over and I'm looking forward to them mixing it up with the rest of the division.

  • What's next for Braun Strowman after WrestleMania 33?
  • Which match will steal the show on Sunday?
  • What would I change about the WrestleMania card?
  • Has the road to WrestleMania been underwhelming this year?

The Bullet Club Interrupted The Addiction and Dalton Castle

The explanation from The Addiction as to how their plan all along was to fool The Bullet Club was well done and the championship celebration itself was fun from Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. I'm glad they didn't waste much time at all in revealing who will be next to challenge him for the gold, that being Castle at this weekend's Supercard of Honor event. Not only that, but Cole revealed his intentions to go back after the gold eventually. This segment was also successful in setting up the night's main event.

ROH World Tag Team Champions The Hardyz def. The Briscoes

For those who missed it, The Hardyz are currently embroiled in an ugly legal battle with Impact Wrestling over the use of their "broken" characters, hence why they didn't do any of their signature mannerisms at the 15th Anniversary Show or in this match here. That aside, this was a great match, and how could it have not been considering these are two of the best tandems in the last decade and a half? The in-ring action was entertaining and there was also the official announcement for the upcoming Ladder match between The Hardyz and The Young Bucks at Supercard of Honor this weekend.
