AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland def. Matt CardonaEverything about this was awesome. This was the return of Copeland's open challenge gimmick after he won the AEW TNT Championship on last Wednesday's Dynamite. Members of the roster previously accepted, so Cardona coming out was a really cool surprise given their history from many years ago. The crowd seemed to agree based on the reaction it got, too. They worked wonderfully together and Cardona was made to look on Copeland's level. Malakai Black confronted Copeland afterward and you can sign me the hell up for that eventual match.

Dustin Rhodes def. The ButcherI like Rhodes and he can still go even at this stage of his career. He said at one point he was going to retire a while ago, but I'm glad he's stuck around. That said, I have no idea what purpose this was supposed to serve. I'm sure Rhodes is being built up for something, but unfortunately, beating The Butcher means nothing. This was well worked, but personally, I couldn't bring myself to care. Speaking of Rhodes, can we get him at ringside for Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 40? I doubt it happens, but it'd certainly be cool.
The Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) def. Carlee Bright and Kendal GreyBright has had at least a few matches on Level Up, but I believe this was the first time I've seen Grey in action. She came across as generic at the start, but she ultimately fared well for herself and had a decent showing. Same for Bright. I feared the worst for this match because Legend and Jackson are still works in progress, but it was perfectly passable. Unfortunately, we found out on Tuesday that Meta-Four will be the hosts of Stand & Deliver and I am not looking forward to that.
Pretty Deadly def. Kevin Owens and Randy OrtonPretty Deadly are fantastic in their roles. WWE really should split up the tag titles soon just so they can get a run at some point, at least in my opinion. I figured this would be a straightforward win for the babyfaces, so Logan Paul interfering and costing them the victory was a fun swerve. This was an enjoyable outing and a hot way to start the show. Orton not being a dumb babyface and actually looking for Paul under the ring afterward was so refreshing, along with Orton and Owens not teasing tension as I expected them to.
MLW World Women's Featherweight Champion Janai Kai def. Unagi SayakaI have zero familiarity with Sayaka, but I thought she had a solid showing. It was definitely Kai's most competitive title defense yet and I liked that Sayaka was made to look credible in defeat. I don't know if we're going to see any more of her going forward in MLW, but props to her for making the most of her opportunity here. Kai has been booked so dominantly that it should mean something when she eventually loses.
