 Andrade El Idolo def. Juice RobinsonBullet Club Gold were without Jay White as he was attacked backstage by a number of masked men (including someone wearing MJF's devil mask) as Dynamite went off the air on Wednesday night. I assume Roderick Strong and The Kingdom had something to do with that, but we'll see what they have in mind. As for this match, it turned into a hell of an opener. Robinson's matches have become more interesting now that he's more interesting as a character, Andrade is obviously excellent, and the crowd was into the action despite the obvious outcome. I maintain that we're headed toward Bullet Club Gold against La Faccion Ingobernable.

 Kickoff Show: Blair Davenport def. Kelani JordanBoth of these women had their stories interrupted as Dana Brooke (Kelani's mentor who was in the midst of a heel turn) was released and Gigi Dolin (who Davenport was supposed to face this past Tuesday on NXT) got hurt. Dolin must not be too hurt if she showed up after this was over and attacked Davenport. At any rate, Davenport and Jordan had a decent pre-show match. The experienced Davenport was able to carry Jordan for a majority of it, but Jordan impressed when she was on offense. She isn't ready to be on a live special and there's plenty of room for improvement, but it's clear Shawn Michaels is high on her and her potential.
 AEW World Trios Champions The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn def. The Hardys and Brother ZayBrother Zay is apparently what Isiah Kassidy is going by officially until Marq Quen comes back (how much longer will he be out, by the way?). The Hardys are nothing more than a nostalgia act at this point. I mean, they were last year too when they originally reunited, but they've lost a lot lately and aren't protected at all. It reminds me of the WWE return run The Dudley Boyz had in 2015-2016. I enjoy their pairing with Zay and this was fun for what it was, but I wish this had more of a buildup. We found out The Acclaimed and Gunn will again defend the titles at WrestleDream against TMDK.
 Fallon Henley def. Arianna GraceThis marked Grace's return to the ring after a long layoff due to injury. She seems to be back with a prom queen-esque gimmick and she even got mic time while walking to the ring. Unfortunately, it didn't end up mattering since she lost. The match wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it would have been nice if Grace had won in an attempt to make a new star in the women's division. Henley really doesn't have anything to lose, but I assume Grace will continue to be an enhancement talent until she improves.
 Jimmy Uso def. Karl AndersonUso, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman started the show recapping what transpired at the end of last week's show and that John Cena was without a partner heading into Fastlane. Anderson has previously said that he was staying out of The Bloodline's business, but apparently them taking out AJ Styles was enough for him to step up. Unfortunately for him, he was quickly squashed by Uso, but it was the way this had to go down based on how he's been positioned since returning to the company.
