Triple H Welcomed the World to WrestleManiaWell, this was a pleasant surprise. I know Triple H made a quick cameo at NXT Stand & Deliver for Tommaso Ciampa's sendoff, but this was the first formal appearance he's made in front of fans since 2019 I believe and it was a cool moment, especially coming off all the health issues he's had lately. Some fans will complain about his drawn-out entrance being a waste of time and I can't completely blame those people, but I'm biased because I was there in attendance and I thought it was a nice way to open the evening.

NWA World Women's Champion Kamille def. Kaitlyn Alexis (Non-Title)This was Alexis' debut on NWA programming. It's worth noting that Kamille received a favorable reaction from the fans in attendance during her entrance and the match itself. Her mannerisms haven't changed much at all and she still acts like a heel during her promos, but it would make sense to turn her if the audience is embracing her. At any rate, this was a pretty standard showcase for her and a straightforward win to keep her rolling.
Darby Allin def. Swerve Strickland to Qualify for the Men's Owen Hart CupSimilar to when we got Adam Cole vs. Tomohiro Ishii as the opener last week, I wish the entrances for Allin and Strickland were televised. It makes the match feel bigger. Nonetheless, this was very good as expected given they have history from the independent scene. It could have been even better with more time, so hopefully we get a rematch eventually. Ricky Starks' distraction at ringside protected Strickland in defeat and it looks like we're going to get another round from them as well.
Damon Kemp def. Dante ChenI've mentioned before how it's a shame officials appear to have given up Chen after initially pushing him around the time of NXT's relaunch, but this was a case where I was happy with Kemp going over with the recent roll he's been on. His improvement has been noticeable and this was nicely paced. I'd like to see him work with more experienced talent as those are the matches he'll really benefit from.
Drew McIntyre def. Sami Zayn in a Steel Cage MatchThis show was immediately taped after last week's SmackDown, which was headlined by the Lumberjack match between McIntyre and Zayn. That would mean this crowd sat through two back-to-back Zayn vs. McIntyre matches, hence why the crowd noise sounded more piped-in than usual. This was a well-worked Steel Cage match with Zayn attempting to escape multiple times only to be thwarted by McIntyre. It told a simple story, but I'd be content not seeing these two have another match for a long time.
