Zero Hour: Jeff Cobb def. "Hot Sauce" Tracy WilliamsIt was the battle of former ROH World Television Champions. Cobb has had a hell of a week between this bout, challenging Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship on Wednesday's Dynamite, and beating Moose at IMPACT/NJPW Multiverse United on Thursday night. More of Cobb is always a positive. This was well wrestled, but it was a pretty average outing. Then again, I wouldn't expect them to go all out on the pre-show.

Valentina Feroz def. Lash LegendA few months ago, I would've picked Legend to win, but Feroz is still feuding with Elektra Lopez and has been far more relevant on NXT TV as of late than Legend. It's pretty wild that Legend went from being all over NXT TV when the show turned into NXT 2.0 in late 2021 to now primarily being relegated to Level Up. She needs more experience, so it makes sense. This was a nice little sprint and a good win for Feroz. I liked their dynamic together.
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos and Sami Zayn Exchanged WordsEveryone's anticipation level for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 39 was already incredibly high, so there wasn't much more that needed to be said here. They did an effective job of recapping their rivalry and emphasizing what will be at stake on Saturday. As has been said by many for weeks, this feels like the true main event of Night 1, but we'll see if WWE makes the right call.
Sammy Guevara def. Konosuke TakeshitaFor as little as I care about Guevara from a character standpoint at the moment, there can be no doubt that the guy can go and this served as a reminder of that. No, he hasn't done anything to earn an opportunity a the AEW World Championship as has been teased lately, but this was a nice step in that direction. Takeshita is obviously tremendous and thus they had a very entertaining opener. I could have done without Takeshita still standing after the Canadian Destroyer, but I should probably expect that sort of stuff at this point and not be as bothered.
Pre-Show: Yuya Uemura def. Gabriel KiddI'm not familiar with Kidd at all, but I thought he had a solid showing. I'm much more familiar with Uemura from the time he's spent in IMPACT over the last year and he's always impressive. He lacks direction, but at least he isn't consistently booked like a loser. This was a serviceable match to set the tone for the rest of the night. There was nothing out of the ordinary about it, so I had no issue with it being positioned on the pre-show.
