Charlotte Flair Won the 30-Woman Royal Rumble MatchI applaud Triple H's desire to use as many of the current women's roster as possible for the Royal Rumble, but I'd say about half of them simply aren't over. Listen to the tepid reactions to a lot of the early entrants. Thankfully, Chelsea Green was out there early to carry things from an entertainment standpoint. She was an MVP to say the least. The second half was significantly stronger and had several cool surprises. That includes the NXT entrants and Alexa Bliss, who was rumored to be at an impasse with WWE during recent contract negotiations. I wasn't a fan of the final four as it made it extremely obvious Flair was winning and, sure enough, that was exactly what happened. While I'm definitely looking forward to Flair challenging Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41, I wish Triple H didn't take the most predictable path possible with the finish to this Rumble.

Rhea Ripley, WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair, Bayley, IYO SKY and Naomi def. Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae in a WarGames MatchI was adamant coming into this event that women's WarGames did not need to happen this year and that this could've easily been an elimination tag team match instead. I was hopeful they would have a great match regardless, but this ended up being boring early on, sloppy and poorly structured. The effort was there, but it felt like (similar to past years) they relied too heavily on the weapons because there was very little story. Yes, there were several intertwining feuds, but again, it wasn't necessary for this to take place inside the two cages. Ripley hitting Riptide on Morgan through a table for the finish was cool, but this was easily the weakest women's WarGames matchup to date.
The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) def. Roman Reigns and The UsosIf they weren't going to headline, it was smart to put the Bloodline boys on first. This started slow, but the crowd more into it as the action progressed. The key was Sikoa pinning Reigns clean. He hasn't won a ton of big matches this year, so that was necessary if WWE wants the audience to view him as some sort of a threat. The post-match angle with Sami Zayn coming out and accidentally kicking Reigns was well done and sets the stage for him helping out Reigns and The Usos against The Bloodline in WarGames at Survivor Series.
CM Punk def. Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell MatchI was among those who lobbied for this to headline the event, and although they had a huge moment saved for the end, they stole the show, regardless. This was an excellent outing and exactly what Hell in a Cell should be. They delivered on their promise of blood and beat the holy hell out of each other. Hell in a Cell lost its luster a long time ago, but these two managed to make the stipulation mean something again. They capped off their lengthy feud in fantastic fashion.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes def. Kevin OwensI knew this would be good given the level of talent involved, but this ended up exceeded my expectations. What an excellent opener. The crowd was white hot for everything they did and there were some suspenseful nearfalls down the stretch. Rhodes continues to kill it during this reign and it was nice to see Owens back in the world title mix for the first time in a while. No heel turn from Owens afterward, either. It could still happen at some point, but I feel like Randy Orton will be the one to betray Rhodes instead.
