 Laurel Van Ness def. KC Spinelli and Madison Rayne in an Impact Knockouts Championship Tournament Semifinal Three-Way MatchVan Ness definitely owns the crazy character well, but her matches leave a lot to be desired as a result. Thankfully, there were two other reliable workers involved in this match, Spinelli and Rayne (who sadly received zero reaction from the crowd for her return), and they carried a majority of the matchup for her. It wasn't an exciting three-way by any means, but they got through it and the woman who is the most active on the roster went over as she should have (despite my reservations regarding her in-ring ability with this gimmick). Taiji Ishimori def. Hakim ZaneApparently, Zane won that Global Forged show that has been airing on IMPACT! in recent weeks. I either always skipped over those segments or simply didn't pay attention because it looked like a rip-off of Tough Enough, but Zane had an impressive showing here and scored some offense over the established Ishimori, who is easily one of the best in the X-Division right now. He picked up a nice victory and it looks like he'll be Trevor Lee's next X-Division Championship challenger. Those matches should be a ton of fun.

 The kickoff to the Road to WrestleMania isn't far off, and already we're starting to hear rumblings of what matches we might see on the grand stage. However, one important part of WrestleMania weekend that most tend to overlook is the Hall of Fame ceremony that is set to take place Friday, April 6, 2018. We won't know for sure until January at the earliest who will be joining the hall of immortals, but you can bet that there will plenty of speculation regarding the 2018 class in the months ahead.
The favorites for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018 have shifted over the last couple months. Earlier this year, Batista was rumored to be getting the call, but those rumors were shot down, and he's no longer the co-favorite. In fact, some sports betting sources say that Goldberg (1/1) remains at the top, followed by Vader (2/1) and The Undertaker (4/1), who could fittingly be inducted in the city where Brock Lesnar ended his legendary WrestleMania streak (New Orleans). Here, we'll look at the aforementioned icons and their chances of getting inducted next April.  The Street Profits def. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick MossThese two teams already had a match a few weeks back on NXT TV and it was decent, but it was too short to be anything of note. They definitely received more time for this encounter, and while it was a largely formulaic affair, The Street Profits are an over act and the audience was engaged in the action. Sabbatelli and Moss are definitely two top prospects to watch out for, but I wonder when they will be featured more prominently instead of constantly being fed to the bigger stars. Kairi Sane def. Peyton RoyceRoyce has finally begun to build momentum recently, so I hate to see her used as a stepping stone for Sane so soon after TakeOver: WarGames. That said, this was a competitive contest and both women came away from it looking good. I was glad that Billie Kay's interference from ringside was kept to a minimum and the focus was fully on Sane and Royce. I'm curious what both women will do next if they don't immediately re-enter the NXT Women's Championship picture.

 Silas Young def. Jonathan Gresham in a ROH World Television Championship Qualifying MatchI was not expecting this match to be entirely comedy, but the live crowd seemed to enjoy their antics, so who am I to complain? I just thought it was a weird way to use Young coming off his huge victory versus Jay Lethal at Death Before Dishonor, but that has quickly been forgotten, sadly. Despite them taking a different approach to this outing than I originally assumed, I was entertained by this match, and obviously Young advancing to Final Battle for the TV title was the right call. War Machine and The Addiction BrawledThis was a logical follow-up to War Machine costing The Addiction their No. 1 Contender's match a few weeks back, so I would assume they'll be clashing in a match at Final Battle coming up. This was brief yet brutal, and I liked how they tried to go outside the box with a "fan" in the crowd accidentally getting hit thanks to The Addiction ducking out of the way. It made them look like slimy cowards, so it was an effective segment.
