#AskGSM Edition #225: Daniel Bryan Returns!, WreslteMania 34 Expectations, Bray Wyatt, More3/21/2018 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:

Coast to Coast def. The DawgsCoast to Coast have been on a bit of a roll since beating War Machine not too long ago, so this was an effective way to allow them to continue their recent momentum. The Dawgs dominating a majority of the match made Coast to Coast out to look like resilient underdogs before they ultimately scored the victory. This was a nice little bout to kick off the night and showcase some of the tandems in ROH's stacked tag team division. Mayu Iwatani def. HKZ in an ROH Women of Honor Championship Tournament First Round MatchROH took a page out of IMPACT's playbook by airing a match that took place elsewhere, and in this case, it was Stardom in Japan. This ROH Women of Honor Championship tournament features plenty of talent from the promotion and this was so different (and much better) than anything I've seen from the tourney so far from the ROH girls. Both of these women put forth a hell of an effort and I hope Iwatani has a similar showing when she goes up against Deonna Purrazzo in the next round.
Hideo Itami def. Lince Dorado by DisqualificationWith Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa continuing to tease tension with The Lucha House Party, Itami is becoming more and more aggressive in the ring, similar to what we saw from him at the end of his NXT run (that was the greatest version of Itami in my opinion). As a result, this was a nice little match where they made the most of the time they were allotted. The disqualification finish was a little flat, but it did keep their feud alive. TJP def. Kenneth JohnsonFor those who don't recall, Johnson was involved in the Cruiserweight Classic two years ago and lost in the first round. Let's just say there was a reason he wasn't picked up by the company. He didn't exactly impress me here, but on the bright side, this was all about TJP showcasing his skills. Here's hoping he taps back into that cocky side he showed during the early portion of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament because that is the role that suits him best.
Intercontinental Champion The Miz and Asuka def. Braun Strowman and Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss in a Semifinal MatchIt should come as no surprise that, once again, Strowman and Bliss had one of the best matches of the tournament so far. Their opponents Miz and Asuka had a lot to do with this being a great match as well because both duos have such strong chemistry together. Miz and Asuka are a hilarious unit and Asuka's undefeated streak added suspense to the nearfalls, while fans go nuts for any tease of romance between Bliss and Strowman. Here's hoping they'll continue to interact on WWE TV despite being knocked out of the tournament. Overall ShowThe one-match format of Mixed Match Challenge continues to be a breeze and this was one of the most entertaining installments yet. I believe Bliss and Strowman have been a part of the editions with the highest viewership so far, and this was no exception. Their dynamic is as great as Miz and Asuka's is, so as expected, this was a blast. Also, it was revealed at the end of the episode that Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode will take on the returning pairing of Sasha Banks and Finn Balor next week, as voted on by the WWE Universe.
Daniel Bryan Addressed the AudienceThis might have been every bit as amazing as Bryan's retirement speech from two years ago, but for different reasons. You could just tell how genuinely happy he was to finally be cleared to compete by the company, and his promo thanking the fans, the WWE doctors and especially his wife Brie Bella was so tremendously touching and heartwarming. It felt real, because it was, and WWE needs more of that in today's product. To say I'm excited about the possible dream matches we can now see with Bryan is a massive understatement. Shinsuke Nakamura def. RusevI thoroughly enjoyed the match these two had at Fastlane last week, and this was an entertaining encounter as well. Similar to their last meeting, it was obvious Nakamura was winning, but Rusev at least looked good in defeat. Afterward, Nakamura took out Rusev and Aiden English by himself while AJ Styles stood idly by at ringside. It makes me worried that Styles didn't get physical here coming off reports that he's hurt, but here's hoping it's a case of WWE wanting to keep him as healthy as possible ahead of WrestleMania.
