Shinsuke Nakamura def. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy UsoI've mentioned this before, but the build to this SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 38 has been so beyond lazy and generic. The Usos are obviously an excellent team and I like the duo of Nakamura and Boogs, but it feels like a subpar television match at this point. On the bright side, Nakamura vs. Uso was a quality contest for as long as it lasted and Nakamura winning was logical to give the babyfaces a necessary momentum boost.

Die Familie (Charlie Dempsey and Rohan Raja) def. A-Kid and Saxon HuxleyI thought we had seen the last of A-Kid in NXT UK for the foreseeable future following his loss to Dempsey a few weeks ago (now that we've seen him on NXT TV as of late), but apparently not. I'm still not sure if he's being written off NXT UK permanently or if he'll be pulling double duty between the two brands. Either way, this was a pretty good opener, largely thanks to Dempsey and A-Kid. Huxley does nothing for me, but he held his own.
Veer Mahaan def. Joe AlonzoA vignette on this past Monday's Raw revealed that Veer will finally be arriving on Raw the night after WrestleMania 38. Mercifully, this man can stop coming at long last. That's probably the perfect time to re-debut him since it marks a new year for WWE and that crowd has historically been the rowdiest. That said, I was disappointed the Chicago crowd wasn't more into Veer here than they were. Rather, they were pretty quiet for this extended squash. I hope Veer receives a better reaction in two weeks or I fear he'll be dead on arrival.
Josh Alexander and Impact World Champion Moose BrawledThe storytelling in this feud has been top-notch. It started with the excellent swerve at Bound for Glory in October when Moose essentially stole the title from Alexander and everything they've done in recent weeks has been compelling. I think my only fear is that the program may peak before Rebellion in April. This was a strong segment to follow up on last week's show-closing angle and to give Alexander a small measure of revenge.
Killer Kross def. Budd HeavyThis was practically the perfect re-debut for Kross in MLW. No pun intended, but he came across like an absolute killer here and the crowd was hot for him. His offense looked crisp and he destroyed Heavy in a matter of minutes. This reminded me of when Kross first debuted in NXT two years ago and he was booked to be the most dominant dude on the roster. I really enjoyed this and hope Kross is sticking around in MLW for a while. Him and Alexander Hammerstone could be a war.
