Steph De Lander def. Rosemary, Xia Brookside, TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Dani Luna, Havok, Masha Slamovich, Alisha Edwards and TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Jody Threat in a TNA Knockouts World Championship No. 1 Contender's 8-4-1 MatchTNA first tried out the 8-4-1 gimmick at last year's Against All Odds event and it's a cool concept. It's hard for everyone to get time to shine with so many people involved (at least at the start), but this was well worked and the four-way was especially solid. De Lander was a last-minute replacement for Ash by Elegance (who claimed she couldn't compete and sat ringside) and I like her as a one-off opponent for Jordynne Grace as they had great chemistry when they collided last year. I also like that Matt Cardona has returned so they can do their act in TNA.

ROH Women's World Champion Athena def. Nikita in an ROH Women's World Championship Proving Ground MatchThis was only the third match Athena has had on ROH TV this year and I'm not complaining. Don't get me wrong, Athena is obviously awesome, but she had so many squashes last year that it got to the point of pure ridiculousness. Less is more with that sort of stuff. This was what it needed to be and it was cool how she used a different submission than usual to finish off Nikita. Hikaru Shida showed up to fend her off afterward ahead of their championship clash at Supercard of Honor.
Shayna Baszler def. Katana ChanceBaszler was the only person on this entire episode who received a somewhat decent reaction. The Chicago crowd simply did not care about Chance and it's hard to blame them because Chance and Kayden Carter haven't appeared on television much since losing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. This was a nice match with Chance working from underneath throughout and showing good fight only to come up short in the end.
Will Ospreay def. Katsuyori ShibataOspreay vs. Bryan Danielson at Dynasty pretty much sells itself, so there isn't a ton they can do to build it up before then other than continue to prove why they're two of the best in the world with awesome matches. This was another excellent outing from Ospreay and I appreciated that he worked a different style with Shibata than he did with Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. The outcome was never in doubt, but they were given a ton of time and made the most of it.
