Cage def. Vinnie Massaro in a Cueto Cup First Round MatchI believe Massaro has competed in Lucha Underground before, but not many times. In fact, you see him much more in random segments backstage than you do in the ring. Thus, while the average viewer doesn't have any incentive to care about Massaro, he had a handful of hope spots against Cage here. In the end, though, Cage emerged victorious in dominant fashion as he should have and continued to look ruthless during the post-match attack on Massaro. Marty "The Moth" Martinez def. Saltador in a Cueto Cup First Round MatchIt's been a while since we last heard about The Moth's obsession with Melissa Santos, but it's cool that's his motivation for wanting to win the tournament. Saltador has hardly been established by this point, but after this outing, we now know he's an extremely strange individual. That said, it was obvious he wasn't winning, so it wasn't necessary for the matchup to drag on for as long as it did.

Ember Moon def. Peyton RoyceBefore she could contend for the NXT Women's Championship against Asuka again, it was imperative that Ember Moon wrapped up her rivalry with Royce and Billie Kay, and it seemed like that was accomplished here. There were given more time than usual and it was a decent match albeit nothing incredibly special. I did like the story they told with Moon constantly attempting to hit her finisher before finally connecting with it, though. SAnitY def. The Ealy BrothersAfter Killian Dain was showcased and prominently featured in his main event match with No Way Jose earlier this month, it made sense for Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe to pick up a dominant victory as well. Unfortunately, they just aren't as fun or as impressive to watch in the ring as Dain. This was a fine squash match, but it didn't give us a clear idea of what's next for the group.
Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser def. Jay Lethal and Bobby FishOne of my biggest criticisms of ROH TV has always been how certain storylines aren't usually furthered on a weekly basis, but ROH has done a damn good job with these four over the past month. Lethal and Fish causing Bruiser to get winded early on was a fun little bit (though I could have done without Bruiser puking all over ringside) and the second half was solid as well. Young pinning Lethal and not Fish shocked me, but I'm not complaining. Young has picked up a handful of credible victories lately, so here's hoping it leads to a stable push for him. The Kingdom def. The BoysThis match was a bad idea from the get-go because both tandems have matches at this Friday's Ring of Honor pay-per-view. The Kingdom will be facing wrestlers from CMLL while Dalton Castle and The Boys contend for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, so it was a lose-lose regardless of who won here. The Boys were beaten in relatively quick fashion, so obviously they came away from this looking like losers ahead of their title shot. On the bright side, tension was then teased between Castle and Jay Briscoe to build toward their upcoming encounter.
