Hirooki Goto def. HikuleoI'm slightly familiar with Goto but not at all with Hikuleo. Therefore, I personally didn't have much interest in this match, especially because it was incredibly random, had no story behind it, and wasn't advertised in advance. It was just kind of there. From an in-ring standpoint, it was perfectly fine and I guess it gave extra exposure to these New Japan Pro-Wrestling competitors, but it felt like a waste of television time to me with the Best in the World pay-per-view coming up quickly. WOH World Champion Kelly Klein and Jenny Rose vs. The Allure Went to a No ContestThese two teams were originally supposed to do battle after what went down between them on a recent episode of ROH TV, but The Allure attacked Klein and Rose before the bout could start (it actually occurred during the commercial break and viewers were just shown the replay). I was actually somewhat happy that we didn't have to see The Allure in action until I realized the match was delayed simply so it could happen at Best in the World. I'm a fan of Klein, but I'm not sure The Allure will deliver. Time will tell.

The Singh Brothers def. The Lucha House PartyThis rematch has been in the works for weeks. It wasn't exactly highly anticipated, but it was fun nonetheless with good showings from both teams. Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik were on offense for a majority of the match, yet it was The Singh Brothers who emerged victorious. This marked their first truly credible victory in WWE, so let's see if they can build on it or if it'll simply lead to The Lucha House winning the rubber matchup. The Brian KEndrick def. Russ TaylorSometimes I forget Kendrick is still on 205 Live, just because it's been a while since he was last involved in a meaningful program on the show. He is talented though and can lend a lot to whoever he works with, especially if they're an up-and-comer. This was a fairly standard squash match, though Taylor did have the early advantage over Kendrick. Based off the pre-match vignette, Kendrick will be paired off with Noam Dar in a rivalry soon.
Dolph Ziggler def. Xavier WoodsI would have been all for the show starting with this match as opposed to a talking segment with The New Day and Ziggler... again. Seriously, we've heard it all from Kofi Kingston and Ziggler by this point in their feud and I couldn't care less about this "It should have been me" nonsense from Ziggler. On the bright side, the matchup that followed was well wrestled and received more time than I thought it would. Ziggler winning was obviously necessary seeing as how he hasn't won a single match in 2019 (yes, seriously). Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross Attacked SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley on Moment of BlissI'm not going to lie, I was loathing this segment coming into this show. Not only does Moment of Bliss usually underwhelm, we've actually seen Bayley on the show before. However, this ended up being pretty great in my opinion with some of the best mic work I've heard from both women in a while. Hell, this was the best segment with the women I've seen on WWE TV since before WrestleMania 35. Both women played their roles well and they continue to tell the story that Cross doesn't like Bayley because she believes as disingenuous as Bliss claims she is.
Sarah Logan def. Dana Brooke by Referee StoppageLogan faced Natayla one-on-one last week after they clashed in tag team action the previous week, so now it was Natalya's partner Brooke's turn to get a crack at Logan. I've never been the biggest Brooke fan, but she got really rocked here by Logan when she got tossed into the turnbuckle post. She kicked out and attempted to carry on, but the referee realized there was too much blood and that the bout had to be stopped. I'm sure we'll see a rematch on an upcoming episode, but the early goings of this were solid. Robert Roode def. Cedric AlexanderFor what it's worth, Roode has since ditched the porn 'stache and is back to sporting the same full beard he was before. He's still going by Robert Roode, though. It appears WWE has already given up on pushing him as a heel singles star after only one week. What a shame. At any rate, this was a very enjoyable encounter and Alexander especially had a strong showing. Those final few minutes were great and I guess Roode's victory makes him the new Main Event Champion, at least according to Alexander (unless the gold wasn't up for grabs here).
