Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Leva Bates and KarizmaAEW is starting to put together a few different female teams, which makes me worried that we're headed for a women's tag team championship soon. The last thing AEW needs is another title and I don't have enough faith they'd be able to make it worthwhile. Rose and Shafir are a lame team, anyway. This was a standard showcase for them and I'm glad it was on the shorter side. Vickie Guerrero teasing tension with the two of them later on backstage was interesting, though.

NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Fixers def. Alex Caytal and Shepherd Lutz (Non-Title)When I think of NWA USA, The Fixers are the first people that come to mind at this point, so it was logical to have them in action on the Christmas episode. Caytal and Lutz weren't much of a threat at all and thus this was a total squash. Keeping it brief was a smart call. As much as I enjoy The Fixers, I feel like they've barely defended their tag titles since winning them (though I could be wrong). Maybe giving the tag team division another set of titles was unnecessary?
AR Fox and Top Flight Won the $300,000 Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios RoyaleThis sounded like an absolute mess on paper, but it ended up working out well and being mildly entertaining. There were so many people in the ring throughout that the eliminations were difficult to follow, but they furthered a few stories and made the most of the confusing rules. Plus, the final few minutes were fun. Blackpool Combat Club winning felt like a guarantee, so Top Flight picking up the upset victory instead was a pleasant surprise.
Charlie Dempsey def. Myles BorneBorne has been a staple on Level Up and has put together a quality string of matches as well as quite a few wins. He has the potential to be something on NXT's main roster and I'm glad they're taking their time with him. I'm also glad Dempsey is in the midst of a push on NXT TV at the moment. It's a bummer his father William Regal reportedly can't appear on WWE TV for at least another year because he'd be the perfect manager for him. This was a well-wrestled affair and one of Borne's best bouts to date.
