SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day, The Miz & John Morrison, The Forgotten Sons, and The Lucha House Party BrawledSmackDown's tag team division has some strong players, but the issue is that we've already seen almost every combination of the top teams against each other. Yes, Forgotten Sons debuted two weeks ago, but that isn't enough to shake things up. Lucha House Party have never been relevant on the main roster, so it was strange that they emerged here and not The Usos or Heavy Machinery. This was a decent segment that played out in predictable fashion. It also served to set up Miz and Morrison vs. Lucha House Party for later in the show. King Corbin def. Drew Gulak to Qualify for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder MatchGulak has been pretty prominently featured on SmackDown alongside Daniel Bryan in recent months, so there was a bit of doubt surrounding the outcome to this contest. They had a solid match, but as talented of a performer as Corbin is, he really needs to ditch the "king" gimmick. I have no issue with him in the Money in the Bank Ladder matchup as long as he doesn't win (again). Also, seeing Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro attack Bryan and Gulak made me wonder where Sami Zayn has been since WrestleMania 36.

Darby Allin def. Sammy Guevara in an AEW TNT Championship Tournament Quarterfinal MatchI absolutely loved the match these two had at the Revolution pay-per-view and I appreciated that they got twice the amount of time to work with here. They maximized their minutes and had another entertaining affair. The way they played off their original encounter was a nice touch. Allin advancing in the tournament was for the best after he teased facing Cody when they unsuccessfully teamed a few weeks ago. AEW World Tag Team Champion Kenny Omega def. Alan AngelsIf you've been wondering why we've been seeing a lot of Omega in action on Dynamite lately, it's because Adam Page and The Young Bucks weren't flown in for these tapings. However, I'll never complain about getting more Omega matches. He's been on fire for the past two months and this was another example of that. The fact he managed to have an awesome enhancement match was impressive and filled the time well.
NXT North American Champion Keith Lee Saved Velveteen Dream from Undisputed EraDream was originally advertised as facing Finn Balor on this show, but viewers were told that Balor couldn't compete due to being ambushed backstage before the show. Adam Cole interrupted Dream before leading an attack on him, which caused Lee to make the save and set the stage for the night's main event. This was a solid segment on the whole that didn't overstay its welcome, but it certainly feels like they're killing time before getting to Cole vs. Dream for the NXT Championship. Dakota Kai & Reina Gonzalez def. Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan NoxNot only do Kai and Gonzalez have good chemistry together, their alliance helps hide Gonzalez's weaknesses as well. She looked better here than she did last week and her picking up the win for her team was smart so she could build credibility. It was a perfectly fine tag team affair while it lasted. The babyfaces won't lose anything in defeat, but I do question where this is headed assuming this wasn't the end of the angle.
