#AskGSM Edition #338: Owen Hart in the WWE HOF, Double or Nothing Preview, Recent Deaths, More5/20/2020 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews, answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:

Ace Austin def. Rhino in an Impact World Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Quarterfinal MatchAustin replaced Ken Shamrock in the tournament due to the "injuries" suffered by Shamrock last week at the hands of Elgin. I'm sure that will be revisited after Elgin emerges victorious in this tourney. Austin is a suitable replacement and I thought he and Rhino had a decent match. I don't expect much out of Rhino at this stage of his career, but he held his own and Austin carried him to a competent performance. The right man won. Crazzy Steve def. Dave CristPer IMPACT, Steve has officially re-signed. It's a shame Abyss has since left for a producer role in WWE because it would have been cool to see Decay reunite (including Rosemary). At any rate, there wasn't anything special about this match whatsoever, but there didn't need to be as the focus was on oVe continuing to tease tension. Madman Fulton roughed up Dave before declaring he was done with oVe all together. I figured that was inevitable given the lengthy losing streak the group has been on for a while now without Sami Callihan's guidance. By the way, is Steve supposed to be Joseph P. Ryan's next rival? Okay then.
Hikaru Shida def. Dani JordynShida will officially be facing Nyla Rose for the AEW Women's Championship at Double or Nothing coming off her four-way victory last week on Dynamite, so this was merely a warm-up for her. However, Jordyn once again had a standout showing and looked credible in defeat. She's impressed me the few times I've seen her in action in AEW and the NWA, so I hope one of the companies sign her soon. QT Marshall def. Clutch AdamsAny time I see Marshall in action, I immediately lose interest. Nothing against the guy, but aside from the vignette that ran for him on Dark around the time that he debuted late last year, I have zero reason to care about him. His matches are harmless and he isn't terrible by any means, but he doesn't generate any excitement for me whatsoever. Keeping this short and sweet was for the best.
Jinder Mahal def. Akira TozawaMahal has only been back a little over one month and has already been relegated to working Main Event for the last two weeks. Hey, I'm not complaining. He faced Tozawa when he first returned to Raw, but this lasted longer and Tozawa got in a bit more offense before losing. I'm still bored out of my mind whenever Mahal is in control, but otherwise, this was a perfectly fine match designed to further Mahal's momentum. Ricochet def. Shane ThorneRicochet getting Main Event duty should hardly come as a surprise at this point considering how he's been positioned on the card for the last year. I like his pairing with Cedric Alexander, but it's a shame they're stuck in a dead-end feud with Thorne and Brendan Vink (who should have not left NXT as soon as they did) at the moment. I enjoyed this outing, but of course, the outcome was never in doubt.
Edge Accepted Randy Orton's ChallengeI'm slightly more open to Edge and Orton continuing their feud now than I was a week ago coming off their last two verbal exchanges, but Charly Caruso has got to stop calling it "the greatest wrestling match ever." That's setting people's expectations way too high, especially after the dud of a match they had at WrestleMania. On the bright side, their mic work in this segment was once again excellent and Edge's intensity sold me on their upcoming rematch. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype, but I assume it won't because WWE isn't doing them any favors with this dumb buzzword nonsense. Seth Rollins Addressed Rey Mysterio; Murphy def. Humberto CarrilloI've noticed that not everyone is enamored with Rollins' "Monday Night Messiah" gimmick, which is totally fine, but I think he's been knocking out of the park this year. He's a glorious a-hole, to say the least. I actually liked how he dressed and spoke as if he was giving a sermon as it fit his character perfectly. It was nice to see Carrillo show some fire for a change and step up to the duo of Rollins and Murphy, even if he ended up losing fairly quickly to Murphy.
