Rhea Ripley def. Dakota Kai in an NXT UK Women's Championship Tournament Semifinal MatchRipley is such a star with plenty of potential to go far in not only NXT UK but WWE in general, and Kai is right there with her. Unsurprisingly, they had a great match with Ripley bullying Kai on her way to victory but Kai looking credible in defeat following a strong showing. They worked really well together and I'd love to see them engage in a full-fledged feud eventually. Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster def. Saxon Huxley and Joseph ConnersAndrews and Webster are the perfect pairing because they compliment each other nicely and they should be a welcome addition to the upcoming tag team division in NXT UK. They had a very fun match with Huxley and Conners, who weren't doing much for me as a tandem but they fared well for themselves here. That said, I'm not at all opposed to them already going their separate ways with Conners turning on Huxley afterward. Neither of them are natural babyfaces I believe, so here's hoping they have a one-off outing before moving on in different directions.

Rhea Ripley def. Xia Brookside in an NXT UK Women's Championship Tournament Quarterfinal MatchDespite being incredibly young, Brookside showed a lot of promise during this year's Mae Young Classic, especially since she has such a unique look and charisma about her. Of course, it's way too early to shoehorn her into the NXT UK Women's Championship picture, so although her losing to Ripley here was only academic, I was glad she had a solid showing and scored some offense before eating defeat. Ripley impresses me immensely every time I see her in action and she should be involved in the finals as well (assuming she doesn't win the whole thing). Eddie Dennis def. Jack StarzDennis gives off a Leo Kruger-esque vibe to me with his brooding personality, but I mean that in the best way possible. That said, I think he has much more potential than Kruger ever did and I loved the video packages he received leading up to his in-ring debut a few weeks ago. This was a good showcase for Dennis as he hit his signature spots and went over in decisive fashion.
#AskGSM Edition #260: Survivor Series Weekend Fallout, Lars Sullivan, Next WWE Releases, More11/21/2018 #AskGSM is a weekly Q&A video where I, Graham "GSM" Matthews answer fan questions from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in regards to the world of wrestling. Nothing is off limits, and this week’s edition touches upon a variety of topics including:
The Kingdom Attacked Dalton Castle and The BoysIt was cool to hear from Castle for the first time since he returned to the ring last week on ROH TV in a successful effort against The Kingdom. He established he still has his sights set on regaining the ROH World Championship, but in the meantime, he has to finish up his feud with Matt Taven from many months ago. It's a logical route to take heading into Final Battle where I believe they'll go one-on-one. This was a solid segment to kick off the show and allow them to rekindle their rivalry. Marty Scurll def. Shane "Hurricane" Helms in a No Disqualification MatchThese two have been trading victories back and forth for weeks, and following their last encounter, Scurll stole the mask of Helms, so Helms looked like the 2007 version of Gregory Helms here, just with The Hurricane attire on. While I maintain that this program has been a total waste of Scurll, the matches have been fun and this was no exception. The crowd was into everything they did and it was a nice little hardcore brawl. With Scurll winning decisively, it's time for him to move on to something new and more important.
Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox def. Bobby Roode and NatalyaNeither of these tandems particularly interest me on paper because of the lack of chemistry they have together. Thus, I couldn't have cared less about this encounter, even if it was well-wrestled on the whole and the final few minutes with Roode and Mahal were fun. It's incredibly sad that Roode went from competing in the finals of last season's Mixed Match Challenge to being a part of the only Raw team to not qualify for the "playoffs" for this season. Oh how the mighty have fallen. R-Truth and Carmella def. Rusev and LanaI've seen others ask this question, and now I'm curious as well: why did WWE bother breaking up Rusev Day if Creative wasn't going to do anything of note with Rusev, Lana or Aiden English on their own? They've barely been on WWE TV in recent weeks and are beyond directionless. At any rate, this match was complete comedy and offered nothing of note. Rusev and Lana were back in heel mode for a bit, which was fun, but other than that, this was a waste of time. Rusev and Lana not being a part of the "playoffs" is certainly a strange move.
