WWE 205 Live Review - November 21, 2018

Tony Nese def. Noam Dar

Dar's recent rivalries with TJP and Lio Rush were fun and allowed him to showcase his skills for the first time in a long while. I think most fans don't realize how skilled of a wrestler he actually is. Well, he shined here as he and Nese contested a very good sprint and made the most of the time they were allotted. Nese maintained momentum with the victory and obviously Buddy Murphy's interference protected Dar in defeat.

Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick def. Local Athletes

I assumed Kendrick and Tozawa teaming up the last time was merely a one-off, but apparently not and their issues with Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher will continue. They aren't a bad team whatsoever, and although the crowd was barely into this contest, it was a fine squash for the babyfaces that got them back on the right track. Afterward, they celebrated together, so it looks like they're finally on the same page. Expect a rematch between them and Gulak and Gallagher soon enough.

Gran Metalik def. TJP

This was the latest installment in the ongoing feud with The Lucha House Party, TJP and Mike Kanellis. Similar to Dar, Metalik is another competitor who fans tend to underrate more often than not, yet he shows the world what he's made of when it comes to exciting clashes such as this one. This was a well-wrestled affair and I was happy it was kept straightforward with no shenanigans (unlike Lucha House Party vs. The Revival from Monday's Raw). Post-match, Kanellis laid out the babyfaces with a bunch of chair shots, looking more vicious than I've ever seen him in WWE.

Overall Show

You can always count on 205 Live for some quality wrestling and solid storytelling. This episode was no exception as the main event was entertaining and successfully furthered that feud, Tozawa and Kendrick are officially an alliance and are looking for revenge on Gulak and Gallagher, and Nese and Dar kicked off the night on a high note. Next week's edition should be a blast with Murphy and Nese vs. Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali announced and Hideo Itami returning (who I didn't even know was gone).
