The Usos Explained Their ActionsThis was a logical promo from The Usos coming off their hot betrayal of Roman Reigns last week. It wasn't their most memorable mic work, but it was what it needed to be heading into the huge tag team match at Money in the Bank. We didn't see The Usos again on this show until after the main event, which was a refreshing change of pace with them having been all over the show in recent weeks. Roman Reigns will respond when he returns next week. LA Knight def. Rey MysterioKnight attacked Mysterio last week before losing to Santos Escobar, which is why it was weird he beat Mysterio. Hey, I'm not complaining. Knight has done a lot of losing this year and needs high-profile victories, so this was a step in the right direction. He's still the best possible person to win the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match, but I'm a little less optimistic about that prediction with Logan Paul returning and entering himself into the matchup on Monday's Raw. Needless to say, he's ready for the next level. This was an enjoyable affair with an unfortunately-botched finishing sequence. WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler def. NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to Become the Unified WWE Women's Tag Team ChampionsThe fact this was given away at such a random part of the show without much fanfare despite the stakes tells you everything you need to know about how WWE views the women's tag team division. I can't say I'm surprised, though. I'm also not surprised the crowd didn't sound like they cared given these were two heel teams. It's a shame because this turned into a pretty good match. The important thing is that the two sets of women's tag titles are finally unified. Liv Morgan returned afterward alongside Raquel Rodriguez to confront the champs and they'll get their title rematch soon. The Street Profits Interrupted Pretty Deadly on The Grayson Waller Effect; Pretty Deadly def. Street ProfitsI'm a big Waller fan and appreciate seeing him on the show in any capacity, but I'm beyond ready to see him wrestle a match. We've had at least three editions of The Grayson Waller Effect in the last month or so and it's going to get old fairly quickly if SmackDown runs it into the ground. I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere, but I have to assume he's still hurt from his NXT Championship match with Carmelo Hayes at NXT Spring Breakin'. The segment served as solid hype for Pretty Deadly's Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match next week. The subsequent match was decent but pretty pointless. At least it gave Pretty Deadly another notable win. Charlotte Flair def. Lacey EvansRemember when these two feuded back in early 2021 and Ric Flair had a thing for Evans? I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to be reminded of that crap. Evans is such a non-factor nowadays that it was impossible to take her seriously against Flair. It didn't help that the match was weak, but at least they kept it brief. Asuka attacked Flair immediately afterward ahead of their WWE Women's Championship clash next week. We found out backstage from Adam Pearce that Bianca Belair will be barred from ringside. Solo Sikoa def. Sheamus by Referee StoppageThese two have always had quality chemistry together and this was another well-worked match from them. It felt like it solely existed to kill time, but they made the most of their time. I wasn't a fan of the finish with Sikoa hitting his signature hip attack to Sheamus through the barricade and the referee deeming Sheamus unable to continue. We see barricade spots all the time in WWE, so it didn't pack a punch. The Usos attacked Sikoa afterward, but their double splash didn't connect completely and thus it didn't look great. Overall ShowIt was obvious that this was a filler show ahead of next week's loaded lineup in London featuring two titles match, Reigns' return, and Logan Paul on The Grayson Waller Effect. The women's tag title unification match was the only one advertised that wasn't scrapped or changed. The canceled matches wouldn't have made much of a difference, but I hate when they advertise stuff and don't deliver without acknowledging the changes. This was a fine albeit inconsequential episode and you didn't miss much if you didn't tune in.
