Deonna Purrazzo def. KiLynn KingPurrazzo and Trinity lost to The Coven two weeks ago and Purrazzo was pinned in that match, so she was able to avenge that loss here. Purrazzo is set to challenge Trinity in a rematch for the Impact Knockouts World Championship at Emergence, but I'm glad that this was a competitive contest and that King was made to look credible in defeat. I also liked that Purrazzo proved she could fend for herself and didn't need Trinity at ringside to thwart Taylor Wilde. Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Killer Kelly def. Jessicka and Savannah Evans in a Three-Way MatchMK Ultra will defend the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship against The Death Dollz and the duo of Gisele Shaw and Evans at Emergence, so this served as a small preview of what to expect in tat match. MK Ultra didn't become champions that long ago, so I'm glad Kelly won here even though it would have been easy to book her to lose. There wasn't much to the match and it wasn't great, but I was happy with the outcome. Moose def. Kevin KnightKnight has had impressive performance after impressive performance in IMPACT and this was no exception. I don't think he's a guy IMPACT will ever focus on, but to his credit, he's making the most of these opportunities and showing he can hang. I assume this would be a straightforward squash for Moose when it started, but Knight scored much more offense than I thought he would and even came close to winning on a few occasions. Moose went over in the end, but Knight gained a ton in defeat. Eric Young def. Kon by DisqualificationYoung's feud with The Design is playing out logically, but I really didn't care to see him face Kon, who is a chore to watch wrestle most of the time. This wasn't a bad match necessarily, but there was nothing out of the ordinary about it and Deaner interfering for the disqualification was predictable. The Design laid out Young afterward to give them some heel heat ahead of the eventual one-on-one encounter between Young and Deaner. Bully Ray def. Black Taurus in a No Disqualification MatchI'm not sure why this needed a No Disqualification stipulation, but it made it more interesting than it would have been otherwise. There was zero uncertainty surrounding the outcome, but they had a well-worked match and filled the time just fine. Bully is being built back up as part of this new faction he's apparently a part of, so it makes sense to give him a few momentum-boosting wins. The Rascalz def. Sami Callihan and Rich Swann in the Finals of the Impact World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's TournamentI assumed ABC would cost The Rascalz would win to set that match up for Emergence, but evidently they didn't care enough to return the favor from a few weeks ago. I'm not complaining, though, as I have no issue with The Rascalz challenging for the Impact World Tag Team Championship at Emergence or even winning the titles. This was a fun main event, but The Rascalz winning with the spray paint is lame. The Outcasts doing it in AEW is bad enough and The Rascalz don't need to be doing it, too. Overall ShowOnce again, one of the best parts of the episode was Crazzy Steve's sit-down interview with Tom Hannifan, and there's still more to come. This was a rock-solid edition of IMPACT! Wrestling on the build that continued the effective Emergence hype, but I legitimately forgot that Multiverse United 2 was happening on Sunday night. You would never know if it wasn't for the commentators plugging it in between matches. I expect that to be an entertaining albeit inconsequential event, but at least they're taking the time to build a compelling card for Emergence.
