Impact Knockouts World Championship Trinity and Impact X-Division Champion Chris Sabin def. Dinamico and Chik TormentaTrinity and Sabin were an odd pairing, but this show was filled with those because none of the matches ultimately mattered in the long run. They worked well together and had a quality match with their opponents. I've seen Tormenta in action in a few different promotions, but I don't believe I've been exposed to Dinamico before. They both held their own. This was an enjoyable opener for what it was. Myzteziz Jr. def. Eddie Edwards and Latigo in a Three-Way MatchMan, Edwards just can't catch a break. It feels like he's lost a lot more matches than he's won in recent months, and although he's a made man in IMPACT, he should be winning a tad more often. I mean, did he have to take the losing fall when Latigo was there as well? The actual match was nicely paced and they kept things interesting throughout. All three guys had some time to shine. Jordynne Grace and Sexy Star def. Maravilla and Deonna PurrazzoI remember Sexy Star from her Lucha Underground days. She was always average in the ring and I never understood why she was pushed so hard. I'm surprised she wasn't blackballed from the business after that incident she was involved in years ago. At any rate, this was a solid tag team match. Grace is the number one contender to the Impact Knockouts World Championship, so it was logical for her to pick up the winning fall for her team. Laredo Kid and Impact Digital Media Champion Tommy Dreamer def. Black Taurus and Brian MyersNothing against the guy because I'm a fan of his, but Dreamer felt so out of place in this match. He's doing his thing as Impact Digital Media Champion and that's fine (when is he going to drop it to Crazzy Steve?), but I would've liked to have seen someone else in this spot. At least he was largely kept limited. Kid and Taurus doing their thing was a treat. I figured Myers would take the losing fall, but it doesn't make much of a difference with neither guy involved in anything of note at the moment. Moose and Toxin def. Octagon Jr. and Josh AlexanderI don't know what sort of history Toxin and Octagon have, but I know that Alexander and Moose haven't had anything to do with each other in almost two years. This seemed to exist solely to get these guys on the card and it ended up being one of the better bouts of the night. Then again, I should've expected that given Alexander was in there. It was weird that his team lost after he cut a promo earlier in the episode about wanting the Impact World Heavyweight Championship back. AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo and The Motor City Machine Guns def. Trey Miguel and Los VipersI don't know if there were other AAA champions on this show (most of the entrances weren't shown), but I know Vikingo is the main champ because of all of his appearances in AEW this year. He and Motor City Machine Guns made for one hell of a team and had an awesome main event here. They certainly saved the best for last. And yes, Sabin wrestled twice on this show, though I'm not sure if it was the same night or if this took place over multiple nights. Overall ShowNeedless to say, this was a filler show with virtually no storyline significance ahead of Final Resolution on Saturday night. Honestly, I couldn't even tell you what the card consists of for that event because IMPACT! Wrestling has been in placeholder mode since Bound for Glory, but I'm sure it'll be fun. As for this episode, the atmosphere in Mexico was a cool change of pace, but there's nothing you need to seek out from this show. That said, the announcement that Kazuchika Okada will be at their Las Vegas taping next month was obviously notable.
