Talos and Daisy Kill def. Mecha Wolf and Alex MiseryWolf and Misery faced off in a No Disqualification match last month, and apparently it was such a war that they gained respect for each other and decided to form a team. I assume their respective connections with Vampiro have something to do with it as well, though only Misery came out with Vampiro later on and not Wolf. Nonetheless, they lost, but they worked well as partners. This was a decent opener. This win for Talos and Kill could get them back in championship contention. NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige def. Natalia MarkovaAlthough it was cool to see Markova in this spot, she's gotten so many championship opportunities during her time in the NWA and has yet to win a single one. How can she possibly can taken seriously at this point? She's obviously talented, but her booking has been abysmal. That said, she and Paige had a good match. She kicked out of Paige's finisher, which is rare, but it looked bad when Paige hit it again. Vampiro and Misery approached Markova afterward, so perhaps she'll be joining them soon. The Miserably Faithful (NWA Unified Television Champion Max the Impaler, Judais and Gaagz the Gymp) def. Magnum Muscle and Carson DrakeWe've seen a lot less of Miserably Faithful as a faction since the NWA premiered on The CW that I was hoping it was a thing of the past, but no such luck. And to put them in the main event? Why?! On the bright side, this wasn't terrible and Max picked up the win for their team. This only existed to set up Mims' post-match heel turn, which I wasn't expecting because I thought it was Dak Draper who walked out on Mims a few weeks ago. Draper seems like the more natural heel of the two, but we'll see how Mims does in the role. Overall ShowI was wondering why the NWA World Women's Championship match didn't close the show, but it made sense once I saw Mims' heel turn and extended attack on Draper following the main event. That was well done, even though I thought Draper would be the one turning on Mims. Paige vs. Markova was the best bout of the three and the opener was serviceable, making for a perfectly passable show this week.
